BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
COUNTY OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
RESOLUTION SUPPORTING PRESIDENT NIXON'S POLICIES IN
ATTEMPTING TO END THE WAR IN VIET NAM ___
WHEREAS, this board has long been concerned over our
involvement in the tragic war in Viet Nam; and
WHEREAS, this board appreciates the problems that our new
national administration has inherited, especially with regards
to Viet Nam; and
WHEREAS, this board learned with interest the new proposals
and concepts to end this conflict as set out in President Nixon's
recent nationally televised broadcast,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that this board strongly
endorses the position taken by President Nixon, and further
strongly endorses the President's attempt to end this tragic war.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the County
of Butte, State of California, this 3rd day of June, 1969, by
the following vote:
