4' WHEREAS, Senate Bill 1339 provides that aid granted to a
5' recipient pending a fair hearing shall be a lien upon his estate
', g; if he is subsequently found ineligible; and
ry! WHEREAS, Senate Bi11 712 expands enforcement remedies in
g AFDC cases involving fraudulent receipt of aid; and
g' WHEREAS, Senate Bi11 1345 establishes relatives responsi-
10:: bi~ity in the OAS program; and
1~ WHEREAS, Senate Bill 1354 clarifies law regarding males
12 assuming the role of spouse; and
13 WHEREAS, Senate Bill 848 provides for liens in the adult
14 aid categories; and
15 WHEREAS, Senate Bill 1212 establishes relative respon-
lgr sibility regarding ATD children living with their parents; and
~,7 WHEREAS, Senate Bill 714 provides that county welfare
~,g departments shall disclose to landlords the new address of recip-
~,g;. Tents who moved without paying their rent; and
20 WHEREAS, these bills are designed to add to the efficiency
22,! and economy of the welfare system,
22 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors'
23, of the County of Butte, State of California, that they hereby
24 strongly endorse and support Senate Bills 1339, 712, 1345, 848,
25'i 1212, and 714, and respectfully recommend their passage by the
26! state legislature.
try IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED that copies of this resolution be
28 sent to the Honorable Fred Marler, Senator of the State of Califon-
29; nia, to the Honorable Ray Johnson, Assemblyman of the State of
30' California, and to any other interested parties.
