RESOLUTION IN MERRY OF WILLIAM A. GILBERT
WHEREAS, this board was shocked and grieved to learn of the
death of WILLIAM A. GILBERT; and
WHEREAS, WILLIAM A. GILBERT served this county most ably for
over eighteen (18) years as a member of the Oroville Cemetery
District, and as President of the Board for the past seven (7)
years; and
WHEREAS, WILLIAM A. GILBERT's community efforts have 'been
of considerable benefit to both the City of Oroville and the
county of Butte,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors
of the County of Butte,. State of California, as follows:
1. That said board hereby memorializes its appreciation
of the meritorious services rendered to the County of Butte by
WILLIAM A. GILBERT during his lifetime.
2. That the condolences and heartfelt sympathy of this
board be extended to the member of the family of WILLIAM A.
GILBERT, and that the Clerk of this Board forward a certified
copy of this resolution to his wife, Isabelle, and their family.
3. That the regular meeting of this board held on the 30th
day of September, 1969, be adjourned in memory of WILLIAM A. GILBERT,
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the County
of Butte, State of California, this 30th day of September, 1969, by
the following vote:
Supervisors Dunaway, Howsden, Maxon, Reynolds,
AYES: Chairman McKillop
NOES: NONE
ABSENT: NONE
