RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING SUSPENSION OF RATES
FOR PRONE TIONAL PURPOSES BY STATE TV CABLE,
A CORPORATION, PURSUANT TO COUNTY OF BUTTE
BUSINESS LICENSE
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of the County of
Butte is authorized by the provisions of said county's Business
License, dated September 1, 1964, originally issued to Standard
Radio and Television Company, a corporation, and duly transferred
to State TV Cable, incorporating Ordinance 842 of the City of
Chico, to suspend or waive any rate or charge required to be
made by the franchise grantee under said Business License, for
the purpose of permitting such grantee to use such suspension
or waiver as a part of a promotional program for limited periods
of time, and from time to time; and
WHEREAS, the grantee now requests authority to offer
over a period commencing as of the date of adoption of this
resolution, and ending December 31, 1970, thirty-day free trial
periods to prospective customers or subscribers who are not
presently subscribers; and
WHEREAS, this board finds that said request is reasonable,
and should be granted,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors
of the County of Butte, State of California, as follows:
1. That during the period from the date of the adoption
of this resolution to and including December 31, 1970, the grantee
may offer thirty-day free trial periods to potential subscribers
to the CATV service now provided by grantee, including the waiving
of the connection charge as provided in the franchise.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the
County of Butte, State of California, this 21st day of October,
1969, by the following vote:
