RESOLUTION OF CONCERN RE MEDT-CARE AND
MEDI-CAL PAYMENTS TO OUR COUNTY HOSPITAL
WHEREAS, this county operates a county hospital; and
WHEREAS, a large percentage of the county hospital billings are
payable under the medi-care and medi-cal program; and
WHEREAS, there has been considerable delay in the past on payment
under both of these programs which has created severe and unnecessary
financial problems to our county hospital and to county finances in
general,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors of the
County of Butte, State of California that this board respectfully
requests that the County Supervisors' Association of California render
their assn.stance towards obtaining more prompt payment of billings
under both the medi-care and medi-cal programs.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that copies of this resolution be forwarded
to the Honorable U.S. Senator Allan Cranston, Honorable U.S. Senator
George Murphy, Honorable Congressman Harold T. "Bizz" Johnson,
Honorable Assemblyman Ray Johnson, Honorable Senator Fred Marler, and
any such other interested parties.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the County of
Butte, State of California, this 18th day of November, 1969, by the
following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Dunaway, Howsden~ Maxon Chai~'man McKillop
NOES: None
ABSENT: Supervisor Reynolds
