RESOLUTION IN OPPOSITION TO TERMINATION OF
ATRWEST'S SERVICE TO YUBA COUNTY
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of Yuba County have
requested our assistance in retaining scheduled air line service
to the Yuba County Airport; and
WHEREAS, Yuba County is presently served by Air West,
and said air line has advised Yuba County of an intention to
terminate service to the Yuba County Airport; and
WHEREAS, scheduled air travel is of importance to the
economy of an area,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors
of the County of Butte, State of California, that this county
supports Yuba County in their opposition to termination of
scheduled air line service at the Yuba County Airport.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution be
sent to the Honorable Hardld T. Johnson, U.S. Representative, to
the Honorable Robert L. Leggett, U.S. Representative, to the Honor-
able Alan Cranston, U.S. Senator, the Honorable George Murphy, U.S.
Senator, to the Representatives serving on the Subcommittee on
Transportation and Aeronautics and to the Representatives serving
on the Subcommittee on Commerce, and to any other interested persons.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the County
of Butte, State of California, this 2nd day of December, 1969, by
the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Dunaway, Howsden, Maxon, Reynolds and Chairman McKillop
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
