HomeMy WebLinkAbout693ORDINANCE NOo 693 AN ORDINANCE ZONING A PORTION OF THE COUNTY OF BUTTES STATE OF CALIFORNIA, PURSUANT TO OR232NANCE NOSo 475 AND 522 OF SAID COUNTY The Board of Supervisors of the County of Buttes State of California, under and pursuant to Ordinance Noa 475 of said County as amended by Ordinance Noe 522° do ordain as follows SECTION to The hereinafter described area situate in the County of Buttes State of Californian shall be and is hereby zoned as an "Mml" (Light Industrial) District as hereinafter described and subject to all of the restricted uses applicable to the uses of an "M-1" Districts said area so zoned being located in the unincorporated area of Butte Countys south of the City of Chicos particularly described as follows•o Property bounded on the North and Northeast by the Southern Pacific rightmofmways on the West by Midway and on the South by Speedways SECTION 2a The following restrictions shall apply in an "M~1" (Light Industrial) Districts 201 Uses Permitted: 1) Uses Permitted in "C~1" and "Cm211 Distriotso 2) Wholesale and storage warehouseso 3) The assembly and storage of goods materials, liquids and equipment (except the storage of inflammable matter or explosives or materials which create dusts odor or fumes)o 4} Feed storehouses and warehouses and fuel yardse 5) The manufacturing, prooessings fabricating, assembling, refining, repairing, packaging and treatment of goods, materials and products by power (oil, gas or electric), including, by way of example and illustration, but not limited to, the manufaoturings fabrication and assembling of bathroom shower and patio partitions, enclosures and doors, windows and store fronts of aluminum, plastic and fiberglass, or other suitable material, and the processing, finishing, polishing and anodyzing of aluminum extrusions and castings; EXCLUDING AND EXCEPTING, however, operations involving fish fats, oils, bones and meat products or similar substances commonly recognized as creating offensive conditions in the handling thereofo 6) Dyeing and rug cleaning plants, veterinary hospitals and animal shelters and boarding kennels cabinet and woodworking shops, construction and material yardse , 7) The following uses when conducted within a building or enclosed by a solid masonry or metal wall or fence, not less than six (6) feet in height: Body and fender repair shops auto painting shops, bottling works, sheet metal shops, welding shops, truck terminals, truck service and repair stations, building material yards and contractor°s storage yardse 8} Signs appurtenant to any permitted uses and billboardso 202 Building Site Area Requirementss Noses except as;may be required for building and for off street loading area and parking space as set forth below under 'Loading Area' and 'P'arking 5pace'o 203 Maximum Height of any building or other structure: Sixty five (65) feete 93 2e~ Yards RequiredS ,x-21 `?si .4 , 1} Front Xards ate- feet from centerline of existing roads 2) Side Yard: None, except where the side of a lot abuts an "R" District, in which. case the side yard shall be not less than ten (10) feeto 3) Rear Yards None, except where the rear yard abuts an "R" District, in which case the rear yard shall be not less than ten (10) feet, 2,5 Loading Area: Private off-street loading space for the handling of all goods, materials and equipment shall be providede 2,6 Parking Space: One parking space for each three (3) employees, or one parking space for each two thousand (2,000) square feet of gross floor space, whichever is greater. 2,7 Any use for which a Use Permit is required in an "A-2" District, upon application for and granting of a Use Permits SECTION 3o All uses of land within the Distriot not specifically authorized and permitted under Section 2 are prohibited, SECTION ~s Penalties for any violation of the zoning hereby imposed within the District shall be as provided in the Zoning Enabling Ordinance, and in compliance .with the provisions of the Zoning Enabling Ordinance this Ordinance shall from and after its effective date become a supplement to and part of the Zoning Enabling Ordinance, SECTION 5, In compliance with the provision of said Zoning Enabling Ordinance the same is hereby amended by adding to Seotion 5 thereof this Ordinance in full.
