HomeMy WebLinkAbout6951 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22- 23 24 25 26' 27 '28 29 30 31 32 BUTTE COUNTY ORDINANCE NO. 695 AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING LOAD LIMITS ON COUNTY ROADS IN TE3E OROVILLE AREA OF THE COUNTY OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA Vehicle Code Sections 35717 and 35721} The BOARD OF SUPERVISORS of the COUNTY OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, do ordain as follows: 1. That this ordinance is adopted .pursuant to Section 35717 of the Vehicle Code of the State of California and upon notice of hearing in the manner prescribed in Section 35717 of the Vehicle Cade. 2. That this ordinance was adopted after hearing duly noticed and held on the 16th day of January, 1961, at which hear: this Board found that the following described roads, by accepted engineering standards, could not support commercial vehicles exceeding a maximum gross weight of 14,000 pounds. 3. That the use of the hereinafter described county highways and roads by any commercial vehicle exceeding a maximum gross weight of 14,000 pounds is prohibited. 4. That the roads upon which said load limits shall apply are situated in the County of Butte, State of California, and described as follows: On all of V-3 RQAD On all of V-4 ROAD On OROVILLE-QUINCY ROAD from the intersection with the Olive highway and Apica Avenue to the Oroville-Forbestown Road Intersection at Miners Ranch. 5. That appropriate signs shall be erected indicating the county highways and roads affected by this ordinance. 6. Violation of this ordinance shall be punishable as a special misdemeanor as provided in Section 42001 of the Vehicle Code as long as such section is in effect, and if not in effect, as a general misdemeanor as provided in the various statutes of the State of California. -1° ~s 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17' ~18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 7. This ordinance shall be and is hereby dec ared to be in full force and effect from and after thirty (30} days after the date of its passage, providing appropriate sign giving notice, as herein provided, are erected, and before he expiration of fifteen (15} days after its passage, this ordina ce shall be published once, with the names of the Board members voting for and against it, in the Oroville Merc , a newspaper of general circulation printed and publ shed in the County of Butte, Mate of California.
