BUTTE COUNT' ORDINANCE N0.11~$
AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING SPEED LIMITS ON CERTAIN COUNTY ROARS
WITHIN THE COUNTY OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
(Vehicle Code Section 22358)
WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works of the County of Butte, upon
the basis of an engineering and traffic survey, has determined that the
County highways hereinafter described came within the provisions of
Section 22358 of the Vehicle Code of the State of California, in that a
prima facie speed limit of sixty-five (65) miles per hour is more than
is reasonable and safe on said highways;
NOW, THEREFORE, the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State
of California, do ordain as follows:
5ection_i. That a prima facie speed limit of forty-five (45) miles per
hour is hereby determined, declared and established upon the hereinafter
described County highways, to with
a. On WYANDOTTE MII~RS RANCH ROAD, from Honcut=Wyandotte Road
to Olive Flighway.
b. On LA,SSEN AVENUE, from Cussick Avenue to State Highway 99E.
Section 2. That SPEED LIM1T ~5 MILES signs be placed at appropriate
locations on the roads described in Section 1.
Section 3. That a prima facie speed limit of forty (40) miles per hour
is hereby determined, declared and established upon the hereinafter
described County highways, to wit:
a. On MT. IDA ROAD, from ()roville-Bangor Highway to Wyandotte-
Miners Ranch Road.
b. On WYANDOTTE-LA PORTS ROAD, from Wyandotte Miners Ranch Road
to Forbestown Road.
c. All of CIRCLE DRIVE
d. On OROVILLE-BANGOR HIGHWAY, from Foothill Blvd. to Wyandotte
Miners Ranch Road.

Section 9. That a prima facie speed limit of twenty-five (2$) miles per
hour is hereby determined, declared and established upon the hereinafter
described County highways, to wits

b. On EAST AVENUE, frown Ceres Avenue to Cactus Avenue.
c. On CACTUS AVENUE, from Esst Avenue to Manzanita Avenue.

Section il. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in confl3.ct hAxewith
are hereby repealed.
Section 12. The several features, parts, provisions, sections and terms
of this Ordinance are hereby declared independent and severable, and the
invalidity, if any, of any feature, part, provisions, section, or term,
thereof shall not affect the remainder of this-Ordinance, nor render the
same inoperative, or invalid.
This Ordinance shall be, and is hereby declared to be, in full force
and effect from and after thirty (90) days after the date of its passage,
and before the expiration of fifteen (15) days after its passage this
Ordinance shall be published once, with the names of the members of the
