COUNTY FIRE WARDEN
WHEREAS, there now exists a cooperativ~ agreement bet~ureen.
the Coun~y of Butte and ~he Division of Forestry of the State of
California for the handling ot fire control and fire suppression
withi~n the unincorpora~ed limits {excluding Fire Districts) of
Butte County;and
WHEREAS, G.A. LETSON is zn charge of fire contxol under said
coaperative agreement in the County of Butte, he having th.e
designated tit~e as State Forest Rang~ and paid by the State of
Ca.1, i fornia ; and
WHEREAS, from time to time there arises local administrative
problems concerning ~'ire con~rol and fire prevention i.n Butte
County which is not necessarily a par~ of ~he cooperative agree-
ment between the County of Butte and ~he State of California, and it
is desirable to have what is known as a County Fire Warden, and
that G.A. Letson, State Forest Ranger in charge of the cooperative
fire con~rol with th.e State of Galifornia should act as Coun~y Fire
Warden in matters pertaining solely to ~ocal administration, and
shall appoin~ such assistants and deputies, also on a no~. pay
basis, as he sees fit.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOZVED AND ORDER~D ~hat G.,A. Letson,
State Forest Ranger be, and he i.s hereby appointed, County ~ire
Warden of the County of Butte.
