RESOLUTION REQUEST~NG TAX RELIEF FOR OWNERS
OF FLOOD DAMAGED PR~PERTY
WHEREAS, recent h~avy rain fal~ and ex~ensive
flooding has caused wide-spread damage ~.o rea1. and per~onal
proper~y s~~uated within ~the County of Be~tte, and,
WHEREAS, the loss of the beneficial use of such f~.ood
damage praperty to the owners fi.hereon constitutes a seve~e
eco~omi~ hardship.
NOW, THEREFdRE BE ~T RESOLVED, tha~ this Board requests
the Legi~lature o~' ~he State o~ California to gzve immedxa~e
atten~ion -~o the need for property ~.ax rel.ief for owners a~
flood damaged property within the County a~ Bu-~te through an
amendment to Division 1, Chapter 2 of the Revenue azxlTaxa~ion
Code o~ ~he 5-~a~e of Cal.iforn~a .
