RESOLUTTON TN MENIC}RY OF RAY W. HEAD
WHEREAS, ~his board was grieved ta 1.earn of the death
of RAY W.HEAD, City Fire Marshal for the Ci-~y of Chico; and
WHEREAS, RAY W. HEAD served ~he City of Chico with dis-
tinctzon and with unse~.~ish devotion far over 34 years, three of
which were as Fi.re Marshal; and
WHEREAS, RAY W. HEAD, was active in sev~ral. organiza~ion~,
inclv.dxng ~he Chico Mason~c Lodge No. 111; served as F&AM p~s~
president and was reg~anal dx~ec~or o~ the High Twelve Cl.ub. H~
also h~ld membe~ships in Chico Com~nandery No. 12, Knigh~s Temp~ar
of Cal~fornia and Chico Chapter No. 42, Royal Arch Masons o~
Cali~ornia. He was a member of the Chico Firemen's Associatzon,
Chico Ci~ty Emp~,oyees Associa~ion, Califorr~ia Con.~erence o~ Arson
Inves~igatars and the Horseless Carriage C1ub of Ameri.ca.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by ~he Board of Supervisors
o~ ~he Coun~y of Butte, Sta~e of California, as follows:
1. That said board hereby memo~ializes its app~eciation
of the meritori.ous services rendered ~o ~he C~.ty of
Chico and the Coun~y of Bu~~e by RAY W. HEAD during
his lifetime.
2, That the condolences and h~art~~if. sy~pathy of ~his
board be extended to his wi~e, He~.en, and ~hat the
clerk of this board forward a certified copy o~ ~his
resolution -~o her.
