WHEREAS, Butte County is a public entity within said
State;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Boa.rd of Super-
visors of Butte Coux~,ty th.at th.e office of Emer~ency Preparedness
be and hereby is requested to a.rra~ge to have the a.ppropriate
Federal Agez~cy perform th.e followin.g emergency worlc essential to
the health, sa.fety or welfare of ~he people and property o~ this
pt~blic en~i~y:
Emergency protective repair and/or restora~ion works to
the left banks of the Sacra.menfo River a~ ~en (10~ sites all being
within Butte Co~rntq, Ca.lifornia and at loca.tions a.s shown on
accompaning map.
BE ~T FURTHER RESOLVED, tha.t the Office of Emergency
Preparedness assign to the Sacramento District Corps of Engineers,
U. S, Army the accomplishment of said emergency work, as the said
Corps are fa.mil.iar with a.11 local river conditions where the
emergencies exist and sa.id Corps can most expedi~iously and ef-
fectively accomplish the sa.id emergency work.
This body certifies that, to the best of ~.ts knowledge
and belie~', the requested work is eligible under Public Law 575,

that title, to the end that, in accordance with titZe VI of that Act and the
