WHEREAS, this board was grieved to learn of the death
of ETHEL M. ESTES, former°Recorder for the County of Butte;
, WFiEREAS, ETHEL M. ESTES, served the County of Butte
with distinc~ion and with unselfish devotion for over 30~years, ~
20 of which were as County Recorder; and
WHII~EAS, EH~'II, M, ESTES, was active with several
organizations, including the First Christian Church of Chico,
Buelah Rebekah Lodge No. 60, Annie K, Bidwell Parlor, Native
Daughters of the Golden West and Treasurer of the Hall Associa-
tion, NDGW.
` NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Boax'd of Super-
visors of the County of Butte, State of California, as follows:
]., That said board hereby memorializes its apprecia-
tion of the meritorious services rendered ~o the
County of But~.e bq ETHEL M. ESTES during her
lifetime.
~. That condolences and heartfelt sympathy of this
board be extended to her son, Ear7. T. Estes, and
~hat the clerk of this board forward a certified
cogy af this resolution to him.
3. That the regular meeting of this board held on
the 17th day af Ntarch, 1970, be adjourned in
men~ory of ETHEL, M. ESTES.
