HomeMy WebLinkAbout70-071WH~REAS, this Board has been made aware of the prov~s~ons of AB 2061; WH~REAS, AB 2061 requires that a welfare department fair hearing be presided over by a hearing officer who is a member of the Staff of the Office of Aclministrative Procedureo WHEREAS, the procedure provided for in AB 2061 has been tried on a pilot basis in Madera County, and has been found to be more effective and efficient, with an attendant reduction in cnst, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by this Board: l. That this Board strongly endorses AB 206I and respectfully requests that this l~gislation be enacted into law. 2o That a copy of this Resolution be senfi to the Honorable Ronald Reagan, Governor of the Sfiate of California, the Honorable Fred ~arler, State Senator and the Honorable Ray Johnson, Assemblyman, and to such other parties as this Board may direct.
