NUTSAI~TCE AND AUTHOR3ZING ABATEMEI~T THEREOF
WHEREAS, certain. noxious or dangerous weeds are growing
wi.thin the Unincorporated area of Butte Covnty along Glenn Haven
Drive and Glen.wood ,Avenue, all situate within Glenn Haven Estates
Subdivision Unit No. l, as recorded in Map Book 27, at Pages 35
and 36 and Unit No. 2, as recorded in Map Book 28, at Pages 26
and 27, which private property is identified as follows:

WHEREAS, the said weeds endange~ the public safety by
creating a fire hazard;
WHEREAS, the said weeds grow in a seasonal and recux~ent
manner;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by ~his Board pursuant
to its authority under Part 5, Division 12 of the Health and
Safety Code, tha~ ~he said weeds constitute and are hereby
declared to be a seasonal and recurrent public nuisance;
BE IT FURTHER R~SOLVED, that notice be given to owners
of the property upon which or in front of which said weeds are
growing that said weeds constitute a pv.blic nuisan.ce which must

be abated by the removal of said noxious or dangerous weeds,
otherwise they will be removed and. the nuisance wi11 be abated
by the County o~ Butte, in which case the cose of such removal
sha1.Z be assessed upon.the lots and lands from which or in front
of which such weeds are removed, and such cost will constitute
a Iien upon such lots or lands until paid, and rhat all property
owners having any ob,~ections ro tl~e proposed removal of such
weeds be notified to attend a meeting of this Board to be held
on 'I`uesday, Jvne 23, 1970, at 11:00 a.m., Supervisors Chambers,
Courthouse, ~roville, California, when their objections taill be
heard and given due considerationo
BE IT FURTHEI2 RESOLVED, that the Butte County Agricultural
Commissioner, or such person as he designates and appoints as his
representative for such purposes, is hereby designated as the
person. to give notice to destroy weeds.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that "weeds" as used in this
Resolution, includes all weeds as defined in Health and Safety
Code Section 14875.
PASSED AND ADOPTED THIS 9th day of ,7une, 1970, by the
Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, 5tate of California,
by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Howsden, McKillop, Reynolds and
Chairman Dunaway
NOES: None
ABSENT: Supervisor Maxon
