cost of welfare programs as promulgated by the State.
WI3EREAS, the property taxpayer, already over burdened wi~h
the cost of education and other services, is being forced to support
a constanfly increasing share of the constantly increasing cost of
the welfare program.
NOW, THERE~'ORE, BE IT RESOLVED by this Board of Supervisors:
l. Tl~at the Board respectfully requests that the State
of California assume 100 percent of the financing of
welfare programs, excepting of course, the federal. sharing.
2. That a copy of this Resolution be sent to the Honorable
Ronald Reagan, Governor of the State of California,
Honoxable Fred Marler, State Senator, Honorable Ray
Johnson, Asse~nblyman, Honorable Lucian B. Vandegrift,
Secretary, Human Relations Agency of the State of California
'and sucn other parties as the Board may direct.
