RESOLUTION OF PRELTMrNARY BETERMINATION TO U~1D~RTA~E
SPECIAL ASSESSMENT PR.OC~EDILdGS FOR THE IMPROVEMENTS
AND ACQUZSITIONS TO BE MADE TN PARADISE PINES ASSESS-
MENT DISTRTCT N0. 1, UNTTS 1 and 2, BUTTE COUNTY,
CALIFORI~I IA
B~ IT RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors of the County
of Butte, State o£ Cali~ornia, as follows:
1. Petition for the improvements and acquisitions to be
made by speciai assessment proceedings within the boundaries of
the map designa'ted, "Proposed Boundaries of Paradise Pines Assess-
ment District No. 1, Bu~te County, CaZifornia," which said map is
attached to said pe~ition, is incorporated herein by this referenc~
as though fully set forth herein.
2. The Certifi.cate of Murray & McCorma.ck, Inc., dated
the 30th day of ~Sune, 1970, certifying that the petition herein-
abave referred to was signed by the owners of more than sixty per
cent (60~} of the area of the property described in said petition,
is i.ncorporated hereir- by this reference as though ful~y set forth
he re i.n .
3. It is hereby ordered and determined that the terms
and conditions of said petition heretofore incorporated herein be,
and they are hereby accepted; that ~he improvements and acqussitiions
shall be made in accordance with the terms of said petition; tha~
the assessment distr~.ct proceedings shall be instituted and carried
through in accorc~ance with the terms of said petition.
4. It is hereby found, determined and ordered that the
Director of Public Works of the County o£ Butte shall be Engineer
of Wark and that the firm of Murray & McCormick, Inc. shall be
the Pro~ect Engineer a.n aCCOrdance with the terms anc7 conditions
of the contract to be entered into. It is further ordered that

California, sha1Z be Special Bond Counsel to prepare al~ proceedings
in accordance with the terms and conditions of the contract to be
entered in~o.
5. That the pub~ic interest and convenience wi11 be served
by the taking of special assessment proceedings for the improvements
and acquisit~ons set forth in said petition. The cost and expen-
ses thereof should be borne by a districti benefited by said improve-
ments and acquisitions. Said distric~ shall be known and desig-
na~Qd a5 Paradise Pines Assessment District No. 1, Units ~ and 2,
Bu~te County, California.
6. The district which sha~l bear the cost and expenses
of said improvements and acquisitions, including all incidental
expenses, and which is to be assessed to pay for the cost of said
improvements and acquisitions, is that distriot shown on a map which
is on file in t.he office of the County:Clerk of the County o£ Butte,
which is designated, "Proposed Boundaries of Paradise Pines Ass~ss-
ment Di.strict No. 1, Butte County, California."
7. Said speaial assessment proceedings are ta be ~aken
under the provisions of the Municipal Improvement Act of 1913 with
bonds to be issued under ~he pravisions of the Tmprovement Act of
1911.
8. The owners of property w~thin the boundaries of said
proposed district have waived all proceedings under the Special
Assessment Investigation, Limita~ion and Majority Protest Act of
1931, and it is therefore ordered and detex~mined that the provi-
sions of said Ac~ sha11 not apply to these proceedings.
9. No Contract £or the construction of improvements in
this assessment district shall be awarded until improvement bonds
are sold and delivered and the proceeds of such sale are deposited
with the County Treasurer.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resoJ.u~ion was duly
and regularly adopted by the Board o~ Supervisors of the County
of Butte, Stiate of California, at a regular meeting thereof, held
