HomeMy WebLinkAbout70-105WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 518 of the Welfare and Institutions Code and Section 3364055 of the Labor Code this Board may, by resolution, extend Workman's Compensation coverage to a ward of the Juvenile Court engaged in rehabilitative work witt~out pay under an assignment by Order of the .Tuvenile Cour~ ~o a work project in a County Department, NOW, THEREFORE, BE TT RESOLVED by this Board: Pursuant to the authority of th.e Welfare and Institutions ~ Code 5ection 51.8 and Labor Code Section 3364,55, all wards of the Juvenile Court engaged in rehabilitative work without pay' under an assignment by Order of the Juvenile Court to a~,rork project to a County Degartment shall be entit].ed to Workman's Compensation benef~.ts as pro~crided in the Labor Code for injuries sustained while in the performance of such work projeet, provided: (a} that such ward shall not be en~itled to any temporary disability indemnity benefits {b) that in determining any disability benefits, average wee'~ly earnings shall be taken at the minimum provided therefor in Labor Code Section 4453.
