within the Un~.ncorporated area of Butte County along North
Cedar Street located west of North Cedar Street and north of
West First Avenue, all situate within the Yulcon Block, as
recorded in Map Book 43, at Page i6, which private property is
identified as follows:

W~IERE[~S, the said weeds endanger the public safety
by creating a fire hazard;
WHE~2EAS, the said weeds grow~in a seasonal and recurrent
manner;
NOW, THERE~ORE, BE IT RESOLVED by this Board pursuant
~o its suthority under Part 5, Division 12 of the Health and
Safety Code, that the said weeds constitute and are hereby
declared to be a seasonal and recurrent public nuisance;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that notice be given to owners
of the property upon which or in front of which said weeds are
growing that said weeds constitute a public nuisance which must
be abated by the removal of said noxious or dangerous weeds,
otherwise they will be removed and the nuisance will be abated
by the County of Butte, in which case the cost of such removal
sha11 be assessed upon the lots and lands from which or in front
ot which said weeds are removed, and such cost wrxll constitute
upon such lots or lands until paid, and that aJ.l property owners
having any obje~~a.ons to the proposed removal of such weeds

Courthouse, Oroville, ~Ca.Tifornia,; when their objections w~ll '
be ~eard and given due consideration.
B~ IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Butte Countq
Agricultural Commissioner, or such person as he designates and
appoints as his representative for such purposes, is hereby
designated as the person to give notice to destroy weedso
BE IT FiJ~tTHER RESOLVED, that "weeds" as used in this
Reso7.ution includes all weeds as defined in Health and Safety
Code Section 14875,
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 14th day of July, 1970, by the
Butte County Board of Supervisors, by the followzng vote:
