WHEREAS, a portian of the Pentz-Magalia Highway is no longer necessaxy
or,required £or road purposes; and
WHEREAS, pursuane to the Streets and Highways Code, Section 960.7., the
Board finds Chat a porCion af Pentz-Magalia Highway should be summarily vacated,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Sup2rvisors of the
County of Butte, State of California, as €ollows:
The following described portion of the Pentz-Magalia Highway is hereby
summarily vacated and abandoned pursuant to Streets and Highways Code Section
I 960.1:
A11 Chat real property situate in khe County o£ Butte, State
of California, described as follows:
fieing a poxtiom of the northwest quarter of the southeast
quarter of~Secti.on ~.8, T21N, 1t4E, MDB&M~ more particularly
described as followsa
Commencing at the south quarter corner of the above said
Section 18; thence l~ 0°23'43"W, aLong the west line of said
southeast quarter of Section 18~ for I~687.64 feet to Che
southwest corner of that certain parcel conveyed ~o Merle F.
Killian~ by deed recarded Ju1y 22~ Z966, in Book 1436, at
page 408~ Butte County Official Records; thence leaving said
west'line of the southeast quarter of Section Z8~ and along
the south line of said Killian parcel N 89°0].~53"E, 339.42
feet to the easterly right-of-way line of Pentz-Magalia Highway
(formerly OroviLle-Pentz-Magalia Highway) as described in that
certain deed to But~e Coun~y recorded October 18, 1930, in Book
217.of Deeds, at page 434, Batte Counry Official Reeords; thence
leaving said souCh line of Killian parcel,.northwesterly along
said easteriy right of way line~ along,Che arc of a non-tangent
270.00 foot radius curve (radial line to said curve at tE~is
point bears S 48°00'19"W), through a central angle of 22°7.7'31",
for 105.05 feee to ehe TRUE 1'OINT OF BEGTNNING of the herei.n-
described parcel; thence from said TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING,
continuing norChweseerly along said easterly right of way 1ine,
along said arc of a 270.00 foot radius curve, through an angle
of 24°39'12"; for 116.18 feet; thence leaving said easterly
righe o~ waq. line S 27°11'15"W, 94.93 feet; thence S 62°48`45"E
65.40 feet to the TRU~ POTNT OF BEGINNING.
