WHEREAS, the Governing Soard of Butte Junior College
District of Bu~.te County, California, have calied and ordered to
be held in said district on ~he 3rd day of ~Fovember, 1970, special
district elections, and have requested thss board to order
consolidation of said special district elections with the
statewide General Election ~o be held Novemb~r 3, 1970,
NOW, THEREFORE SE IT ORDERED AI~iD RESOLVED BY THE BOARD
OF SUP~RVISORS OF T'HE COUNTY OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALTFORNTA,
as follows:
1. Tktat the special district electian to be;.lzel:d in
the Bu~te Junior College District on November 3, 1~970, at
which election there shall be submitted to th.e qualified electors
of said district a measure for incurring bonded indebtedness
of said district, is to be consolidated with the statewide
election to be held on November 3, 1970.
2. That the returns of said special district election
for th.e Butte Junior College District shall be canvassed, or
caused ~a be, by the County Clerk of Butte County and certified
to the governing board of the district. Further, said con-
solidated.;.specfal district election of But~e Junior College
Ais~rict shall be held in all respects as thou~h:they were only
one election.
3. 'I'hat the expenses of the elections atiributable to
said districtsshall be charged to said districts respectively.

COUNTY TO PROVIDE FOR GONSOLIDATION OF A SPECIAL SCHOOL
DISTRICT BOND II,ECTIDN WITH THE STATE OF CALIFORNTA DIRECT
GENERAL ELECTION TO BE HELD
NoVII~BER 3, 1970
WH~REAS, the Governing Board of Butte Junior College
District has heretofore duly passed a resolution calling a speciaZ
school district bond election to be held on Tuesday, Novembex 3, 1970,
in said district, at which wi11. be submitted to the qualified electors 6~
saa.d da.strict a measure for incurring bonded indebtedness of said distrint
' in the amount and for the purposes hereinafter set forth; and,
WHEREAS, the State of California General Election wi11 be
held in Butte County and throughout the State of California, on November 3,
1970, and ~.t is the desire o£ said Governing $oard that eaid special sohool
district bond election be consolidated with said General Election;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLV~U by the Governing Board of
' Butte Junior College District, as £ollows:
SECTION 1. The Board of Supervisors of Butte County is
' hereby requested to consent to and the county Superintendent of Schools
of Butte County is hereby requested to order the consolidatian o£ the
said school district bond election with the general election to be Yzeld
on Tuesday, November 3, 1970, at which bond election shall be submitted
to the qualified electors of said district the following measure, to wit:

5 Shall the Sutte Junior College District of Butte .
County ~ncur a boncied indebtedness of $8,800,Q00 to bear interest :
6 at the rate of not to exceed 7% per annum for the purpose of .
raising money for the following purposes (which are hereby united :
7 and shall be voted upon as one single proposition); to wit: .
(As prescribed by Education Code, Section 21701) .

Said Board o~ Supervisors is further requested to provide that
w~.thin the territory a£fected by said order of consolid.ation tne eleetion
prscincts, polling places and voting booths shall, in every case, be:.the
sama and t2iere shall be only one set of elect~.on oYficers in eaeh of the
precincts for both of said e].ecti.ons and that said measure of incurring
bonded indebtedness shall be set forth in each form o£ ballot to be
used at said General Election insofar as the same is held within said
territozy affected by said consolidation.

cause to be printed uport each of the ballots to be used at sai.d consoli-
dated school district bond election and Genera~. Elect~,on, wi~hin
5aid territory affected by said conaolidation, a.ne].uding absent voter
ballots, said Bond Measure zn the fa.rm thereof set forth in Section 1 of
this resoluti.on, Said Board of S~pervieors is further requested to
order the County Clerk of said County (1) to set forth on all sample
', ballots relating to said General Elect3.on and to be mailed to the quaZif3.ed
elec~ors of said district in said territory affected by said consolidation
said Bond Measure set forth in this resolution and to mail ta said qualified
electors of said district in said terr3tnry said. sample ballots and a~so
po313ng place cards szgned by such County C1erk relating to said specia7. schoo~
district bond election in the time and in the form requirefl by 1aw, and (TT)
to provide absent voter ballots for said Genaral Elec.tion and said special
school di~trict bond election consolidated therewith for use by quaZified
electors of said district in said territory a£fected by said consolidation
who may be entitled ~hereto, in the manner provided by law.
5ection Said Hoard of Supervisors is hereby t'urther suthorized
to eanvass or cause to be canvassed the return of said special schooZ
district bond election with respect to the votes cast on said Bo~d Measure
in said territory a£fected by said consolidation, and to certify such
canvass of the votes cast £or and against said Bond Measure to this
` ~overning Board.

Section 5. The Clerk of this Governing Board is hereby authorized
and directed to certify to the c3ue adoption of this resolution and to
transmit a copy thereof so certi£ied to the County C~erk of Butte County
and to ~he Board of Supervisors of said County and to the County'Superin-
tenden~t o£ Schools.
