AAfD ACQUISIT~ONS TO BE NiADE IN PARAbiSE PIn'ES UNIT
N0. 3 ASSESSAIENT DISTRICT, BUTTE COUNTY, CALIFORNIA .
BE IT RESOLVED by 'the Board of Supervisors of the County
of Butte, State of California, as fol~ows:
1. Petition for the improvements and acqui.sitions by
special assessment proceedings within the boundaries of the map designated,
T'Proposed Boundaries of Paradise '~ines Unit No. 3 Assessment District,
Butte County, Ca].ifornia," which said map is on file in the office
of the County Clerk of the County of Butte, is incorporated herein
by this reference as though fully set forth herein.
2. The Certificate of MURRAY ~ MCCORMICK, INC., dated
the l~t~ day af August , 1970, certifying that the petition
hereinabove re~erred to was signed by the owners of more than sixty
per cent (600) of the axea of the property described in said peti-
tiori, is incorporated herein by this reference as though fully set
forth herein.
3. It is hereby ordered and determined that th~ terms
and conditions of said peCition heretofore incorpoxated herein be,
. and they axe hereby accepted; that the improvements and acquisitions
shal~ be made in accordance with the terms o£ said petition; that
----the assessment district proceedings sha~l be instituted and carried
_through in accordance with the terms of said•petition.
" 4. It is hereby found, determined and ordered that the
D'zrector of Public Works of the County of Butte shall b~ Engineer

Project Engineer in accordance with the terms and conditions of the

ance with the terms and conditions of the contract to be entered ~

5. That t~e public interest and convenience will be served
by the taking af special assessment proceedings for the improvements
and acquisitions set forth in said petition. The cost and expen-
ses thereof should be borne by a district benefited by said improve-
ments and acquisitions. Said district shail be known and designated
as Paradise Pines Unit No. 3 Assessment District, Butte County,
California.
6. The district which shal~ bear the cost and exp~nses
of said improvements and ac~uisitions, including all incidental expen-
ses, and wh~ch is to be assessed to pay for the cost o£ said improve-
ments and acquisitions is that district shown on a map which is on
file in the office of the County Clerk of the County of Butte,
which is designated, "Proposed Boundaries of Paradise Pines Unit
Na. 3 Assessment District, Butte County, California."
7. Said special assessment proceedings are to be taken
under the provisions of the b4unicipal Improvement Act of 1913 ~aith
bonds to be issued under the provisians of the Improv~ment Act of
1911.
8. The owners af property within the boundaries of said
proposed district have waived aIl proceedings under the Special Assess-
ment Investigation, Limitation and A4ajority Protest Act of 1931,
and it is therefore ordered and determined that the provisions of
said Act sha11 not apply to these proceedings.

9. No contract for the construction of improvements a.n
this assessment distxict sha11 be awarded until improvement bonds
are sold and delivered and the proceeds of such sale are deposited
with the County Treasuxer.

I HEKEBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was duly
and regularly adapted by the Board of Supervisors of the County of
Butte, State o£ California, at a regular meet~.ng thereof, held on
