Code provides that County Fair monies may be deposited into and
expended from a commercial bank depository and Sections 29320,
et seq. of the California Government Code provides that ~he Board
of Supervisors may, by resolution, establish a revolv~ng fund,
and,
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of th~ Butte County
Fair and the Manager of t~he Bu~~e County Fair•have indicated
that establishment of a revolving ~und will expedite the
efficient and orderl~ conduct of the tinancial affairs of the
Butte County Fair for the period of the annual public exposition,
and
WHEREAS, the Auditor-Controller of the County of Butte
has determined that Iitigation of su.ch a revolving fund is
consistent wi~h s~andard accounting and auditing procedures, .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY the Board of Super-
visors of Che County of Butte that a revolving fund entitled
"Fairtime Revolving Fundt~' be established, subjec~ to the follawing
condieions:
l. Expenditures made from the revolving fund sha11
be limited to:
-- a. Attendance Operations (including change funds)
b. Entertainmen.t Activities
c. Special cash prizes
d. Pro~essunal services during fair time.
RESOLUTION ~STABLISH~NG A REVOLVING FUND FOR THE
~UTTE COUNTY FAIR
2. Deposits to the fund shall be made in the following
manner.
a. $10,000.00 depasited 3 days prior to opening
of fai~~.
b. Additional deposits as required during course
of fair not to exceed a~otal. expenditure of
$22,000.00
3, Discontinuance of fund, final accounting for
expenditures and re~urn of unexpended fund balances
to the county treasury sha].Z be accomplished on
the fi~st day after closing of fair.
4. Disbursemen~s from fund to be made on signature
of the Fair Manager or the President of the Fair
Soard of Directors.
