WHER~AS, the Board of Supe~visors of tne County of
Butte, State of Californxa, adopted Resolution No. 69-176 on
the 7th day of October 1969, supporting an application to the
Farmers Home Administratzon for funds, $425,900 by loan and
a sum of $825,300 by grant, for expenditure by the Housing
Authority of the County of Butte xn the establishment of
permanent-type housing for low-income domestic farm laborers
at a location near Gridley; and
WHEREAS, L. C. Mel.ton, Executive Di~ector and
Secretary of the Housing Authority of the County o~ Butte, has
advised the Board of Supervxsors that further financial
assistance is needed, $78,000 by loan and $78,000 by grant,
to be furnish.ed to the Housing Authority of the County of Butte
by ~he Farmers Home Administration for the project and related
facilities; an.d
WI~EREAS, the Board of Supervisors of the County of
Butte is well aware of the needs and necessity for immediate
and adeqaate domestic farm labor housing near Gridley; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of the County of
Butte is the governing body within the meaning of Section 36056
of the California Health and Safety Code;

APPLICATION FOR ADDITIONAL LOAN AND GRANT FUNDS
FROM THE FARMERS HOME ADMINISTI~ATION ~'OR THE
CONSTRUCTION OF DOMESTIC FARM LABOR HOUSING
NOW9 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of
Supervisors of the County of Butte tha~ said Board concurs
in the application of the Housing Au~hority of the County of
Butte for such Federal assis~ance from the Farmers Home
Administration.
