WH~REAS, ~he Governing Boa~d of Butte Junior Col~.ege
Distxict has passed a resalution calling a special school district
bond electian to be held on Tuesday, November 3, 1970, in the
District, and has requested the Board of Supervisors of Butte
County to order the consolidation of the said special school
district bond election wa.th the General Election to be held on
Tuesday, Novembex 3, 1970,
NOW, TH~IZEE'ORE, B~ IT ORDERED AND RESOLVED by ~he
Board of Supervisors of the County of Bu~te, State of California,

Section lo That the special school district bond
election to be held in the Butte Junior College District on
Tuesday, November 3, 1970, at which bond election shall be
submitted to the quali£ied elec~ors of said district the following

BUTTE JUNIOR COLLEGE DISTRICT
BOND MEASURE
Sha11 the Butte Junior College District of Butte
County incur a bonded indeb~edness of $8,800,000
to bear interest at the rate of not to exceed 7% per annum
for the purpose o~ raising money for the'following
purposes (which are hereby united and shall be vo~ed
upon as one single proposa.tion), to wit: (As prescribed
by Education Code, Section 21701)

(B) The building or purchasa.ng of school buildings.
(C) The making of alterations or additions to the
school building or buildings other than. such
as may be necessary for current maintenance,
ope~a~ion, or repairs.
(D) The repairing, restoring, or rebuildzng of
any school building damaged, injured, or
destroyed by fi~e or other public calamity.
(E) The supplying of school buildings and g~ounds
with furniture, equipment or necessary
apparatus of a permanent natureo BONDS-
(F) The permanent improvement of the school grounds. NO
(H) The carrying out of the p~ojects or purposes
authorized in Sec~ion 15811 of the Education
Code; to wit:
Providing se~rers anrl drains adequate to
treat and/or dispose of sewage and:drainage
on or a~ray ~'rom each school proper~y.
be and the same is hereby consolidated with the statewide General
~lection to be held on November 3, 1970.
Section 2, That the Covnty C~erlc of Butte County is
hereby ordered and directed to provide within said territory
affected by said consolidation the elec~ion precincts, polling
places and voting booths for each of said elections hereby
cansolidated, which in each case shall be the same, and there
sha11 be only one set of election officers in each of the
precincts for both of said elections. Said County C1er~: is
further ordered and directed to set forth in each form.of
ba].lo~ to be used at said special schoo2 district bond election
and General Election within said territory atfected by said

consolidation said measure of incurring bonded indebtedness in
the form thereof set forth in Section 1 of ~his Resolutiono
Said County C~erk is further ordered and directed CT) to set
forth on aIl sample ballots relating to said General Elect~on
and to be mailed to the qualified elec~ors of said district
in said territory affected by said consolidation said measure
of incurring bonded indeb~edness set forth in Section 1 of
this Resolu~ion, and to mail to said qualified electo~s of
District in said te'rritoxy said~sample ballots and also polling
place cards signed by said Covnty Clerlc relating ~o said
special school district bond election and a tax xate statement
and arg~ments (if any), all in the time and in the ~orm
required by 1aw, and {II) to provide absent voter ballots for
said General Election and said special school district bond
election consolidated therewith for use by qualified electors
of said district in said territorp affected by said consolidation
why may be entitled thereto, in the manne~ provided by ~awo
Section 3, That the County Clerk of Butte Coun~y shall
canvass or cause to be canvassed ~he returns of said special
school district bond election with respect to the votes east
for and against said measure for incurring bonded indebtedness
and shall certify such canvass of the votes casf for and
against said measure of incurring bonded indebtedness to the
Governing Board of the Butte Junior College Sehool District.
Section 4. That the County Clerk is further authorized
~o charge to the Butte Junior College District the additional
expenses of printing upon the sample and official ballots for
use xn sa~d territory said measure for incurring bonded ~ndebt-
ed~.ess to be submitted to the qualified electors of the Bu~te
Junior College District, and such other incidental expenses
as may be incurred solely by reason of this Order ot Consolidationo
