SECTION 3o All uses of land within the District not specifically authorized
and permitted are prohibiteda

SECTION 4. Penalties for any violation of the zoning hereby imposed within
the District shall be as provided in the Zoning Enabling Ordinance. In compliance
with the provisions of the Zoning Enabling Ordinance, this Ordinance shall from
and after its effective date become a supplement to and part of the Zoning
Enabling Ordinance.
SECTION 5. This Ordinance shall be and it is hereby declared to be in full
force and effect from and after the date of its passage, pursuant to the emergency
hereinafter found and declared; and it shall remain in full force and effect until
such time as a permanent ordinance covering the above-described area shall take
effect following notice, public hearings and other procedures as are provided in
said Zoning Enabling Ordinance, or until such time as the Board of Supervisors shall
determine that said area shall not be zoned as an "A-3" {Agricultural) District;
provided, however, that in arty event this Ordinance shall absolutely terminate and
end on Deoember 31, 1961 and shall be of no further fox°ce and effect after said date.
SECTION 6. For the inunediate preservation of the public peace, health and safety
of the area hereinabove described, and the residents and inhabitants thereof, it is
necessary that this Ordinance take effect immediately. A declaration of the facts
constituting the necessity therefor is as follows:
The adoption of such Interim Zoning Plan is necessary in the public interest, to
maintain the status quo in such district pending the determination of the appli-
cation for such permanent detail zoning.
SECTION 7. This emergency ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its
passage and before the expiration of fifteen (15) days after its passage shall be
published once, with the names of all members voting for and against the same, in
the Chico-Enternrise , a newspaper published i_n said County of Butte.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of
California, this 2~.th day of -~pr3~ 19619 by the following vote:
