RESOLtTTION TN APPRECIATION OP 3Ah1ES R. EVANS
WHEREAS, JAMES R, EVANS has served the City of Chico and the County
of Sutte with distinction and with unselfish devotion for over 35 years,
SdHEItEA5, JAMES R. EVANS was graduated £rom the FBI's National
Academy in Washington, D.C, in 1948,
WHEREAS, JAhSES R. EVANS was the fi.rst Nozthern California member to
serve as president of the Cali£ornia ~hapter, FBI National Academy Associates.
WHEREAS, JANES R, EVANS is a member and past president of the Chico
Rotary Club and the Northern Ca~ifornia Peace 0£ficers Associationa
WHEREAS, JAMES R. ~VANS is also Assistant Coordinator of Civi1 II~isaster
law en£orcement £or 13 Northern California countfes, honorary member of the
453nd Tactical Sombing Wing, UBAF: advisor Delta Psi Delta fraternity and has
setved as ~ad Adviser of the Chico Chapter, Order of J)eMolay. He is a member
o£ the Chico Masoni.c Lodge and is past royal patron Amaranth, and past patron,
Eastern Star.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors of the
Cpunty of Butte, State of California, as follows:
1, That SA~1ES R. EVANS has rendered vaiuable and faithful services
to the City of Chico and the County of $utite durfng his 35 years in law
enforcement.
2. That JAMES R, EVANS has brought credit and recognitian to the
County of Butte through his exemplary devotion to duty.
3. That this Soard wishes to express its sfncere aQ~reciation on its
own behaJ.£, as wei.l as on behalf of tha citizens of Butte Coanty, to
,IAMES R. EVANS, for his outstanding public service as a peace officer.
4. That the CLerk of this Board is authorized to certify and deliver
to JAMES R. EVANS a copy of this resolution as a testimonial af the sentfinents
o£ khe Baard of Supervisors of the County of Butte.
