HomeMy WebLinkAbout70-230~3~ WHEREAS, this Board has been made aware of the deficient fun.ds that the State of California has budgeted ~or Gxoup I and II Out-of-Home care; WHEREAS, the failure of the state to properly pay its sharing of welfare cost in ~.his regard can only result in increased property taxes; WHEREAS, there do exist excess funds that could be trans- ferred from the "Attendan~ Care Fund','; NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by this Board: l. That this Board strongly urges tha~ the State of California reverse its refusal to allow this county to transfer fund.s from the "Attendant Care F`und" to "Group I and II Out-of-Home Care Funds" and a11ow this trans£er. 2. That copies of this Resolution be sent to the Honorable Ronald Reagan,.Governor of the Sta~e of California; Honorable Fred Marler, 5tate Senator; Honorable Ray Johnson, Assemblyman; Honorable / Lucian Vandegrift, Secretary, Hv.man Relations Agency; Honorable Robert .Nlartin, Director of the California Department o~ Social Welfare.
