19 70 , the BOARD OF SUPERVISORS vf tne COUNTY OF BUTTE, 5~ate of
California, adopted and passed a Resolution of No~ice of Tntention
to establish a county service area to be entitled "COUl~ITY SERVICE
AREA NO . 38!' ; and
WHEREAS, said Resolution fixed the 22nd day of necember ,
19 70 , at ll:oo o' clock ao m. , of said day, in the Board of
Supervisors Room of the County Courthouse, in the city of Oroville,
State of California, as the time an.d place for the public hearing on
the establishment of said area; and
WHEREAS, said Board, at said time and place, proceedad
to hear arguments both for and against the establishment of said
area; and
WHEREAS, no written protests agains~ the establislzment
thereof were filed in accordance with Secta.on 25210,17 of the
Government Code;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE TT RESOLVED by the BOARD OF SUPERVTSORS
of the COUNTY OF BUTTE, State of Ca].ifornia, as follows:
1. That sa id Board tzex~eby f inds and determines that
proceedings herein were conducted pursuant to Section 25210.1 et
seq. of the Government Code, and th,at publication and notices were
given pur~suant thereto, and that said Board finds and determines
that the extent to which the services described in the Resolution
o~' Tntention are extended county services;

2. That said Board hereby determines to establish said
county service area.
3. That the boundaries of said service area are hereby
finally determined and established as the same as are shown on
Exhibi~. A, attached hereto, entz~led "]]escription of the Bounclaries
of County Service Area No. 38", said exhibit is incorporated herein
by reference and made a part of this res.olution.
4. That the name of said service area so established is
"COUNTY SERVICE AR~A N0. 38".
5. That the types of extended county services proposed
to be provided in this area are: conducting of studies; pre-
paration of plans and specifications; and the construction and
maintenance ot drainage faca.lities contained within the boundaries
d"escribed herein.
6. That a tax sufficient to pap for all such services
which are furnished on an extended basis sha11 be annually levied
upon a11 taxable property witha.n said area.
7. That said county service area is established for
all ~urposes sv.bject only to compliance wi~h the requirements of
Chapter 8, Part 1, Div~.sion 2, Title 5 of the Government Code ancl
subject to the provisions of Article 2.5, Chapter 2.2, Part 2,
Division 2, Title 3 af the Government Code of the State of Calif-
orn~a .

County of Butte, S~ate of California, this 22nd day of December ,
1970, by the following vote:
