WHEREAS, heretofore on the 17th day of Navember ~
1470 , the BOARD OF SUPERVISORS of the COUNTY OF BUTTE, State of
California, adopted and passed a Resolution of Notice of Intention
to establish a county service area to be entitled "COUNTY SERVICE
AREA N0. 39"; and
WHEREAS, said Resolution fixed the 22nd day af December ,
~9 70 ,~t 11:00 0' cloclc ao m. , of said day, in the Board of
Supervisors Room of the But~e County Co~rthouse, a.n the City of
Oroville, State of California, as the time and place for the
public hearing on the establishment of said area; and
WHER~AS, said B~ rd, at said time and place, proceeded to
hear arguments both for and against the establishm.ent of saa.d
area; and
WHEREAS, no writ~n protests against the establishment
thereof were fiied in accordance with Section 25210,17 0£ the
Government Code;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE I'~ RESOLVED by the Board ot Super-
visors o~ the County of Butte, 5tate of Cali~ornia, as follows:
1. That said Board hereby finds and determines. that
proceedings herein were conducted pursuant to Section 25210.1 et
seq. of the Government Code, and ~hat publication and notices
were given pursuant thereto, and ~hat said Board finds and
determines that the extent to which the services described in ~.he
Resolution of Intention are extended county services;

2, That said Board hereby determines to establish said
county service area.
3. ~hat the boundaries of said service area are hereby
finally determined and established as the same as are shown on
~xhibit A, attached hereto, entitled "Aescription of the Boundaries
of Gounty Service Area No. 39", said exhibit is incorporated
herein by reference and made a part of this resolution.
' 4. ~hat the name of said service area so established
is "COi3NTY SERVICE AREA N0. 39" .
5. That the type o~ extended county se~vices proposed
to be provided in this area is installation of street lighting
located within the boundaries of the area described herein.
b. Tha~ a tax sufficient to pay for all such services
whzeh are fc.irnished on an extended basis shall be annually levied
upon all taxable property within said area.
7. That said coun~y service area is established for
a].l purposes subject only to compliance with the requirements of
Chapter 8, Part 1, Division 2, Tit1e 5 of the Gover,runerzt Code and
subject to the provi.sions of Article 2.5, ,Chapter 2.2, Part 2,
Division 2, Title 3 of the Government Code of the Stafe of Calif-
ornia.
