Feather Fair has had many years of successful operation,
WHEREAS, tne Fair has over the years been a rnost valuable
adjunct to the economy of the County,
WI~REAS, the Fair has been a most successful vehicle for
the advancement ot cultural pursuits in our County,
WHEREAS, our Fair has also offered ~nany benefits to the
youth of our County, giving them incentive to strive for excellence
in both agricuitural and cu~:tura~ activities.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by this Board:
l. That this Board strongly opposes any endeavor to
eliminate the present funding structure of tl~e Butte County Fair
and respectfully submit to,the Legislature that it is ~.n the pub~.ic
interest any legislation or administrative action proposed that
would, as a practical matter, e~~ect the cl.osing of our Fair, be
defeated.
2. That a copy of this Resolution be sent to the Honorable
Ronald Reagan, Governor, the Honoreble Ray Johnson, Assemblyman
and the Honorable Fred Marler, Jr., Senator.

and improv~ments to b~ done in Paradise Pines Units No. 5 and 6
Assessnl~nt District, County of ~utfe, State oi California, is
hereby approved; and
BE IT FURTHEF2 RESOLVED that the Chairman o~ the Board
of Supervisors be authorized to sign, and the County Clerk thereof
be authorized to attest, said agreen~ent; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Labor and Material Bond
ancl the Faithful Performance Bond ~o secure the performance of said
contract and ~o secure payment of labor and materials claims be ~i1ed
with tF~e Coun~y C1erk of the County of Bu~.te in said matter, whzch
said Labor and Material Bond and said Faithful Performance Bond are
hereby approved.
