WHEREA.S., the Board of Supervisors of Butte County entered into a~`reeway
Agzeement wa.tkt tkte State of California, Department of Public Works~ Di,vision
of Hi.ghways, on May 5? 1970, xelati.ng to a cextai.n por~i.on o£ State Highway
Route 99 in Butte County between Oroviile Wye and (o1d) Centerville Road; and
WHEREAS~ a large industrial-commercial park is now being developed on
the westerly side of the freeway, northerly of Butte Cxeek; and
WHEREAS~ the development of this industrial-commercial park is advantageou
to the welfare and economy of Butfe County; and
WHERBAS~ the proposed development requires public access to the fireeway;
and
WHEREAS, Section 100.2 of the Streets & Hi.ghways Code zequi.zes the adopt-
ion of a resolution by the California Highway Commission consenting to a
connection with any freeway of a new public road;
1~TOG7~ THEREFORE~ BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THE COUNTY
O.F SUTTE, STATE 0~' CALTFORNIA, that the California Highway Commission be_
requested to adopt a resolution consenting to a new, ~.emporary, a~-grade public
road connection to the westerly side of State Iiighwaq ltoute 99, approximatiely
3250 feet northerly o£ Butte Creek, subject to this connection being closed and
access being furnished via frontage road at the time Route 99 fs constructed
as a fu11 freeway.
