IZESOLUTION OF INTENTTON TO PROVTDE AN ADDI2IONAL
TYPE OF EXTEND~D.SIl2VICE A1~D TO AMEND THE BOUNDARIES
OF BUTTE COUNTY.SERVICE AR~A N0. ~+
' WHEREAS, a petition.signed by the owners of nat less ~han
ten percent (10%)`fl~ the valcze of the territory proposed to be
annexeci has been presented to ~e Board of Supervisors of the County
of 'Butte requesting` annexation to the Butte Couctty Service Area
No. 4; and
W~iEREAS, Government Gode Section '25210.30 provides that
only`the types of'extended services specified in the Resolution
E5tablishing a Service Area may"be authorixed or prp~crided therezn; and
W~IEREAS, the types of extended services specified in the
Resolut~.on'~stablisfiing County Service Area No. 4 do not include
maintenance and servicing vf drainage facilities, and construction,
operation, replacemen~, maintenance'and repair of 'sewage collection,
transportati.on. and dispasal systems, including land, easements and
rights-of-way; 'and
WHEREAS, the Board of Supeivisors o€ Butte County have
determined'that"services of the type now being provided within Butte
Coynty Service Area No: 4 should be providad"in fihe territory de- `
scribed id the aforesaid petition and ss described in Exhibit "A"`
attached and by refererice incorporated' herein and said territory '
'is an i~nincorporated_tenitory in_ the County of Su:tte;
WHEREAS, Tit1e 3, Division 3, Part 2, Chapter 2.2, Article
3 af the Government Code of the 5tate of California provides for the
extension of authorized services within an established County Service
area, .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT R~SOLVED by the Board of Superv~sors
