TO WELFARE DEPARTMENT PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF
WELFARE AND INSTITUTIONS CODE SECTI01~ 576.5
WfiER~AS, Welfare and Institutions Code Section 576.5 authorizes
the Board of Supervisors to delegate to the County Welfare Department
all or part of the duties of the Probation Officer concerning dependent
chiidren described in Section 600 of the Welfare and Institutions Code;
a nd
WHEREAS, this ~aard finds that such delegation af duty would
be'in the best interest of the County.
NOW, TfiEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
1. That this Board hereby delegates to the Co~nty Welfare
Department all of the duties of the Probation D£ficer concerning
dependent children described ii We7.fare axtd Institutions Cade Section
b00.
2. That this Board autho~izes the Welfare Department to
estab~.ish two emergency care shelters availabie for use 24 h.ours per
day, seven days a week, each of such shelters to be paid a standby
fee of $1Q0 per month plus a use fee of $3.10 per child per day.
