of H.R. l; and
WfiEREAS, H.R. 1 will raise the ~eiling to 140% of the
disabled worker's gross earnings and thus tk~e disabled worker would
receive more money by remaini~.g home than he would earn by accepting
rehabilitation and returning to work; and
bTH~REAS, the 100% ceiling would act as a counter-incentive
to rehabilitation anci would wark to the detriment of the injured worker,
the emp~.oyers, and to the Warkman's Compensation system.
NOW, TH:r,REF0~2E B~ ~T R~.SOLVED:
1. T3Zat this Board strongly opposes H.R. 1 and respecttully
requests that this proposed legislation be defeated.
2. That a copy of this Resolution be sent to The Honorable
A1an Cranston, U.S. Senator, The Hanorable John Tunney, U.S. Senator
and The Honorable Harold T. (Bizz) 3ohnson, Member of the House of
Represe ntatives.
