PARADISE PINES UNITS N0. 4 AN~ 8 ASSESSh1~NT DISTRICT,
BUTT~ COUNTX, CALI~`ORNIA
F,1I3EREAS, on the 4th day of t-1ay, ].971, the Board of
Sup~rvisors of the County ot Butte, State of California, adopted
its Resolution o~ Intention for the in~provements and acquisitions
in Paradise Pa.nes Units No. 4 and 8 Assessment District, But~e
Coun~y, Californza, and referred said improvements and acquisitions
to the Director of Public C~Jorks, Butte County, California, as
Engineer of Work for said assessment district; and
WH~R~AS, said Board of Su~ervisors directed that sai~
Engineer o~ Work make and file with the County Clex'k af the Couni:y
of Butte a report in wrz~ing in accordance with the provisa.ons
and requirements of the Municipal ~mproveTnent Act of 19~.3 of the
State of California; and
WHEREAS, said Fngzneer of tidork did, on the 4th day of
May, 1971, file with the County Clerk of the County of Bui:te a
report in accozdance with the said resolution, and said Coun~y Clerk
has presen~ed tYte report to this Boazd fpr consideration;

of the County of But~e, State of California, and this Board hereby
finds:
1. That the report made and filed by the Engineer of Work
~
on the 4th day of May, 1971., contains all of the requizemen~s pro-
vided for said repa~t by ~he provisions of th~ Municipal Impxove- _
ment Act of 1913, inc].ud~.ng (1) specifications; (2) plans and prp-
~iles and estimates of cost; (3) assessment diagram and assess-
ment; {4) descriptions of easements and/or r.ights-of-way to be
aCquired,
2. That said report, and each and every part ther~oi,
is su~ficient in every particular, and it is herehy determined
that said repoxt shali stand as the report ~or aIl subsequent pro-
ceed~ngs under said Municipal xmproveruent ~c~ of 1913; and
B~ TT FURTHER RESOLVED that Tuesday, the IIth day of June,
1971~ a~ the hour of 10:30 o'clock A.~4, of said day, a~ ~he meeting
place of the ~oard of Supervisors of the County of But~e, loca-
ted in the Bu~t~ County Courthouse, Oroville, California, is hereby
fix~d as the time and placc for hearing protests with relation
to the proposed improvements and acguisitions descxzbed in sazd
report; that any person interested in objecting to said improvements
and acqaisitions, the grades to which the work will be done, or
has been done, the extent ot the assessment district~ the assess-
ment, or the engineer's estimate of cost and ex~enses, or any other
act o_'r determinatzon ot the Board of Supe~vxsors or the Engine~r
af Work of the assessment distric~ may file protest in writing
with the Coun~y Clezk of ~he County of Butte at or before the hour
fixed herein fpx hearing thereon; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVEb that the County Clerk of the County
of Bu~te be, and he is hereby, directed to gublish a Notice of
Tmprovement pursuant to Sec~ion 6066 of ~he Government Code of
th`e State of California, the £xrst of which said notices to be
first pubiished a~ least twenty (20) days prior to the date h~rein
set for hearing of pratests; ancl .
' BE IT ~URTH~R R~SOLVED that ~he County Cierk of the
County of Butte be, and_he is hereby, ~urther directed to cause
Notices of Improvement to be posted on all of the open s~reets
with~n the district described ir. the Resolution of intention at
not more than three hundred feet apar~ on each street so posted
zn accordance with the requiremenGS of Sections 10302 and I0303
ot ~he riunicipal Improvement 11ct of ].9?_3; and

B~ TT FUR'PHER RLSOLVE~ ~ha~ notices of the adoptzon of
~he Resolution.of 2ntention and filing of the Engineer's Repazt
shall be mai.3_ed, postage ~repaid, to ail persons owning r~al prop-
erty to be assessed whose nam~s and addresses appear upon ~he ~ast
equalized assessment roii for taxes, or are known to the Couiity
Clerk. Sazd notz~es shall contain the matters required in Section
i0307 of the Nlunicipal In~provement Act of 1913 of the State of
California.
BE zT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Board heYehy prelimin-
arily orders that the improvements and acquisitions described in
the Resolution of Intention be ha~ and done in accordance wi~h
the plans ana speci£ications and p~ofiles for said work. The plans
and specifiaations with said report are hereby adopted as the plans,
profiles and sp~cifications for the doing of said work and imprave-
ments, and sai~ Board hereby orders that bids shall b~ received
for the doing of said work and improvements on the 25th day of.
May, 1971, a~ 11:00 o'clock A.M. of said day. Said bids or pro-
posals shall be dElivexed on or before 11:00 n~clock A.M. of the
25th day of I•~iay, 1971, at the office of the Cnunty Clerk of the
Coun~y of ~ut~e, Butte County Courthouse, Oroville, California,
which said time.and place are hereby fixed as the time and place
of a public meet~ng at ~ahich said bids will be public~y opened,
examined and declared before the Board of Supervisors by the
County C1erk o¢ the County of Butte. Said bids after being pub-
Iicly opened, examined and declared, will be calculated by the
Engineer of 6~ork, his report returned~_to the County Clerk and the
report of the results of the bidding and the calculations ot thE
Fngineer of Work will be reported to the Board of Supervisors of
the CounL-y oL- Butte. .

The Board of Supervisors reserves the right to reject
any and all proposals or bids should it deem this necessary foz
the.public good, and also the bid of any bidder who has been de-
linquenti or unfaithful in any former contiract with the County af
Butte.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was duly
and regularly adopted by th~ Board of Supervisors of the County of
Butte, 6tate of California, at a regular meet~ng thereof, held on
the 4th day of May, 1971, by the fallowing vote, to wit:
