WH~REP,S, this Board has been made aware o~ the pravisions of
H.R. 1399,
WHEREAS, H.R. 1399 wouYd be of considerable benefit to t~e
people of this county in that large areas of our county are
covered by national ~orest,
WHEREAS, H.R. 1399 is mandatory to assure protection of the
public within the national forest,
~]OW 'THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by this Board:
l, That this Board st~ongly supports HoR. 1399 and
respectfully submits to the Congress of the United States that such
legislation is urgently neededo
2. That a copy of this resolution be sent to the Honorable
Harold To "Bizz" Johnson, United States Congressman; Honorable
John Tunney, Senator; Honorable.Alan Cranston, Senator and to such
other parties as this Board may direct.
