RESOLtFTION FOR STTNA~IARY ABANDONMENT FOR
A PORTION 0~ NORD AVENUE

WHEREAS, a portion of the Nord Avenue is no longer necessary or required
for road purposes; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the Stzeets and Highways Code, Section 960.1, the
Board ~inds that a portion O€ Nord Avenv.e should be summarily vacated,
' NOG~, TFiER~'ORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of 5upervisors of the County
o~ Butte, State of California, as follows:
1. The fol3.owing-described portion of the Nord A.venue is hereby sum-
marily vacated and abandoned pursuant to Streets and Hzghways Code Section 960.1
A portion of Lots 35, 36 and 37 of the Third 5ubdivzsi.on of the John
Bidwell Rancha, according to the Official Map thereo£ on fzle in tE~e office of
the Recorder of the County of Butte, State of California, fn Book 5 of rMaps
at Page 8, more particuiarly described as €ollows:
Commencing aC the mosC easterly cornez of Lot 37 of the said Bidwel7. Third Sub-
division, said carner being also the intersection o£ the centerline of Nord
Avenue (shown as Grane Avenue on ~he above said map) wiCh Che norCherly right
of.way line of the Southexn Paci£ic ltailroad (formerly the Califo~nia and Oregon
Railroad); thence from said point of commencement N 60°49`00"W along said rail-
road right of way line, 33.96 feet to the Trae Point of Beginning; thence
contin.uing along said railroad right of way Line, N 60°44`00"W, 41.89 feet to
the westerly right of way line of said Nord Avenue; thence along said westerly
ri.ght o~ way 7.i.ne of Nord Avenue N 37°30'20"W, 288.60 feet to a point of cusp;
~hence southeasterly along the arc of a tangent 330.00 foot radius curve,
concave to the northeast, througkz a central angle of 23°~1'Z6" £or 132.59 feet;
thence S 60°31'36" E 86.22 feet to the easterly right of way line of said Nord
Avenue; thence S 37°30'20"E along said easterly right of wap line, 99.39 feee;
tE~ence S 28°49'S0"W, 47.4~0 feet to the True Point o£ Beginning.
Reserving from the above-described parcel a public utility easement over, under,
across and thraugh the property described herein.
