read as follows:
Section 6-16, On-Ca1.l and Ca11-Sack a.
aa On-call pay shall be allowed to registered nurses and licen.sed
vocational nurses who are required by the Hospital Administrator to
be on-cal7.o The maximii.m amount to be paid shall be $10 per 16-hour
on-call period or $15 per 24 hour onWcall period for registered
nurses and licensed vocation.al nuxses and an amovnt not to exceed
$50 per month for the Nurse Anesthetist, Any such employee required
to be on call during a month shall be paid in proportion to the time
of such person is on-cal]. to said on-call pay. Any employee called
back for eme~rgency duty sha11 be paid at the rate of time-and-one-nal~.
SE IT FURTHER RESO~V~D that Section 9.1 be amen.ded to read as follows:
Section 901, Vacation. Each employee in the classi~ied service shall
be entitled to a vacation. Employees with less than 5 years' service shall
be entitled to a vacation of 5/6 of a working day per month. Employees
upon reaching their fifth anniversary of continuous service sha11 be entitled
to a vacation of 1 1/4 workirzg days per montho Employees who have xeached
their 15th anniversary of continuous service shall be entitled to a vacation
of 1 2/3's worka~ng days per montho
Earned vacation shall be credited monthly and may be accvmulated to
a maximum total at the end of the calendar year of not more than 20 working
days for employees with less than 5 years' serva~ce and 30 working days for
employees ~caith more than 5 years continuous serviceo
An empioyee who has less than 5 mon~ns of uninterrupted service sha1l
not be entitled to a vacation or to vacation pay upon separation of service,
~nployees who work less than fu11 time sha11 earn vacation credits on a
prorated basis,
Vacations shall be taken a~ such tirnes as may be approved by the

In the.event one or more liolidays falls within an annual vacation
leave such holidays shall not be charged as vacation leaveo
Employees who resign, retire or are laid off sha11 be paid in l.ump
sum for all acc~v.ed vacation earned prior to the effective date of
~er~nination, Such lump sum shall be calculated at the annual average daily
or hourly rate of pay for the salary established for the class of position
to which the employee was appointed at the time of his separation of
service, No payment sha11 be made £or vacation accumulated contrary to the
provision of these xv.les,
This resolution shall take effect on July 1, 1971a
