RESOLUTION APPOINTING PROJ~CT ENGINEER AND AUTEORIZING
EXECUTION OF AGRLEMENT
B~ IT RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors of the County
of B~tte, State of Ca7.ifornia, that TIiE MURRAY-~NCCOI2M~CK ENVIR~N-
MEPITAT, GROUP be and they are hereby appointed as Project Engineer
for the doing of all. necessary engineering wor?c anct exerciszng a].Z
of the engineerzng functions provided for tznder the provisions of
the Municipal Improveznent Act o~ 1913 in connection wi~h the imprave-
ments and acquisitions to be anade in proposed Paradise Fines Units
Pio. 10, 11 & I5 Assessment District, Bu't~e County, California; and
BE IT FURTHElt RESOLVED that the employment of the said
MURRAY-:~SCCOR~'~1ICK ~NVIRON.~IEtiTAL GROUP shall be as provided in the
attached agreement; and
BE IT FURTf1ER RESQLVED that the Chairman of ~he Board of
Supervisors of the County of Butte he authorized tio sign, and the
County Clerk thereof be au~hora.zed to attest, that oertain agree-
ment emp~oying the said :~fU12.~AY-PdCCOR'~irCK EDIVIRON:~iENTAL GROUP as
Project ~ngineer for said assessment distric~.

THIS AGREE?~~NT, made and entered into this 2pth day of
July, I971,_ ~y ~~d between the County of Butte, a political
subdivision o£ the State of CaZifornia, hereinafter called First
Party, and THE :NU'RRAY-.~iCCORMICK ENVIROEdMENTAL GROUP, a California
corporation, hereinafter called Second Party;
W I T N E S S~ T H:
That for and ~.n considezation of the rnutual covenants and
agreements herein contained, the parties hereto agree as follows:
3.. T'irst Party proposes to initiate special assessment
proceedings for the ,i.mprovements and acquisitions in Paradise Pines
Units No. 1Q, 11 & 15 Assessment District, Bu~~e County, California.
2. First Qarty employs Second Party as Engineer of Work
for the doing of all necessary work and er.ercising ail engineering
functions provided for by the provisions of ~he Muna.cipaZ Improve-
ment 1~ct of 1913 in connection with the said improvements and acqui-
sitions to be mad~ in said district. Said services shaZl include
the fol7.owing:
a. Doing of all necessary engine~ring wazk and
exercising of all engineering functions pro-
vided for under the provisions of t:~e Muni-
cipal Ir~nrovement Act of Z9I.3;
b. Preparation and ~urnishinq of all surveys,
original drawings, maos and bZuenrints, plans
and specificatzons, preAaration of assessment
roll, assessMen~ diaqram, and any and all
o~her services which may be required under
the provisions of the said Plunici~al zrnprove-
ment Act o£ 1913; ~
c. Sup~rvision and direction of a11 engineering
work ~equired to be taken by First Party or
its off.icers, agents or employees, in con-
necta.on with said improvements. Said duties
shall include furnishing, on pr be~az'e the

date fixed for filing of the Engineer's
Report, a list af the names and addresses
of all property owners within the bound-
aries of the district as shown on the last
equalized zoll for taxes or as known to
the Engineer. Said list sha11 include
coardination of the name and address.wit~
the assessmen~ an8 diagram number~, and the
proper description of the prooerty or the
County Assessor's parcel number of each Iot,
piece, oz parcel of land shown on the assess-
ment diagram, when appropriate.
d. Rendition of general consultation and advice .
to First Pazty, its officers, agents, or
employees with resnec~ to the planning, pre-
paration and handling of alZ enqineering phases
of the aforesaid proceedings;
e. Attendance at such conferences and public
meetings with First Party as may be reasonably
necessary to perform this con~ract of employment.
3. Second Party sha~~ receive comAensation for the above
services as follows:
The sum of $102,653.10.
The above amount shall be paid by ~irst Party out of the
proceeds of assessments levied and bonds to be issued in said proceQdings
4. In the event said proceedings are not carried through
to conclusion, or sha11 be abandoned, then Second Party shall receive
nothing.
