William Retzer to allow the abandonment of a public highway as
described below,
WHEREAS, pursuant to the authority ves~ed in this Board
~der Government Code §§50430 et seq, this Board wishes to declare
its intention to abandon a public highway as described below,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE iT RESOLVED by this Board:
1. That this Board hereby gives notice that at its
regular meeting on Au~tzst 24 , 1971, at 11:00 a,ma, in
the Boa~d Chambers, Courthouse, Oroville, a hearing shall be held on
the abandonment of the follo~r~.ng described publ.ic highway:
That certain 50.00 foat strip of ~.a.nd known as a portion of
Morseman Avenue and being a portion of Lots 16, 17, 27 and 28,
as shown on that certain. Map entitled, '~HOBART STJSD~VISION OF
THE DAN~TEL BIDWELL RANCHO", which Map was filed ai the office
of the Recorder of the County of Butte, State of California, on
N'ovember 7, 190%, in Book 4 of Maps, at page 24, and being
more particularly described as follows:
COI~MENC2NG at the Nor~heas~ corner of said Lot 17 and running
thence Northeasterly along the centerline of Lassen Avenue
a distance of 25.OQ feet; thence So~theasterly and parallel
to the Northeaeterly line of said Lot 17 a distance of
25.00 feet to the true poznt of beginning for the parcel
herein described; thence from said true point of beginning
Southeasterly aZong the Northeasterly line of said 50.00
foot strip through Lots 27 and 28 in said Subdivision to the
Southeasterly line of said Hobart Su.bdivision; thence South-
westerly along said Southeasterly line to the Southwesterly
line of said 50.00 foat strip;
Thence Northwesterly along said Sou~hwesterly lirie ~allei
to the Northeaster~y line o~ Lots 16 and 17, through Lots
16 and 17 to a point in the Southeasterly line of Lassen
Avenue; thence Nartheasterly along said So~theaster~.y line
to the point of beginning,
2. That this Resoiution be posted and published
pursuan~ to the provisions of Government Code §§50440 and 50441.
