BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors of the County
o~ Butte, 5tate of California, that THE ?•4URR.AY-MCCOR~IICK ENVIRON-
~~~NTAL GROUP bE and they are hereby apgointed as ~roject Engineer
for the doa.ng of all necessary engineering work and exercisinq a11
of the engineering functians provided for under the provisions of
the Municipal Improvement Act pf 19I3 in connection with the
improvements to be made in proposed Paradise Pines T3ni~s No. 12, 1.3
& 14 Assess~nent District, Butte County, Cali.~ornia; and
BE IT FURTHER R~SOT,VED that the employment of the said
MURRAY-MCCORtdICR ~NVTRQNP~tENTAL GftOUP shall be as provided in the
. attached agreement; and .
BE IT FURTH~R RESOT~VED that the Chairman of the Board of
' Supervisors of the County of Butte be authorized to si.gn, and the
County C1erk thereof be authorized to a~test, thaf~ certain agree-
ment employing the said biURRAY--'_•4CCORMICK ENVIRONi•ZENTAL GROUP as
Project Engineer ~or said assessment district.

I HEREBY C~RT~~'X that the foregoing resolution was duly
and regularly adopted by the Board of Supervisors of the County of
Butte, State of Cali.fornia, at a regular meeting thereof, held on
the 3rd day of August, 197~, by the follo~aing vote, to wit:

A G R E E M E N T
THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this 3rd day of
August, 1971, by and between the COUNTY OF BUTTE, a politzcal sub-
division of the State of California, hereinafter called First Party,
and THE MURRAY-MCCORMICK ENVIRONMENTAL GROUP, a California corporation,
hereinafter called Second Party;

That for and in consideration of the mutual cavenants
and agreements herein contained, tihe partiies hereto agree as follows:
1. First Party proposes to initiate special assess-
ment proceedings fnr the improvements in Paradise Pines Units No. 12,
13 & 14 Assessment District, Butte County, CaZifornia.
2. First Party emp~oys Second Par~y as Project Engineer Ear
the doing o£ a12 necessary wark and exercising al~ engineering
functions provided for by the provisions of the Municipal Improve-
ment Act of 1913 in connection with the said improvements to be
made in said district. Said services shall inclufle the followznq:
a. Doing of all necessary engineering work and
exercising of all engineering func~ions pro-
vided for under the provisions of the Muni-
cipal rmprovement Acti o~ 1913;
b. Preparation and £urnishing of a21 surveXs,
original drawings, maps and blueprints, plans
and specifications, prepara~ion of assessment
roll, assessmen~ diagram, and any and all
o~her services which may be required under
~he pravisions of the said Munzcipal Improve-
ment Act of 2913;
c. Supervision and direction of all engineering
work ~equir~d to be taken by Fzzst Party or ?
its afficers, agents or employees, in con-
nection with said impzovements. Said duties
shall include furnishing, on or before the
date fixefl for fiiing o~ the Eng~neer's
Report, a~ist of ~he names and addresses
of all property owners within the baund-
aries of ~he district as shown on Ghe lasti
equalized ro11 for taxes or as known to
the ~ngineer. Said list sha~~ include
coordination of the name and address with
the assessment and diagram number, and the
praper description af the property or the
County Assessor's parcel numbe~ of eaeh lot,

men~ diagram, when appropriate.
d. Rendition o£ general annsultation and advice
to Firsti Party, its officers, agents, or
emplayees with respect to t.he planning, pre-
paration and handling of all engineering phases
of ~he a£oresaid proceedings;
e. Attendance at such confezences and public
meetxngs with First Party as may be reasonab~y
necessary tio perfor~ this contract of employment.
3. Second Party sha11 receive compensation for the above
- ~services as follows:
The sum of $149,313.60.
The above amount shall be paid by First Party out of the
proceeds of assessments levied and bonds to be issued in said proceedings.
4. In the event said proceedings are not carried through
ta conclusion, or sha11 be abandoned, then Second Party sha11 recexve
nothing.
IN WITP7ESS WHEREOF, the parties have hereunto subscribed

attested by its County Clerk, the day and year in this agreement
