RESOLUTION AND ORDER PRELIMINARILY ADOPTING ~NGINEER'S
REPORT~ SETTING PUBLIC HEARING AND CALLING FOR BIBS,
PARADISE PINES UNITS N0. 12, 13 & 14 ASSESSMENT DTSTRICT,
BUTTE COUNTX, CALIFORNIA
W~EREAS, on the 3rd dap of August, 1971, the Baard of
Supervisors o€ the County of Butte, State o~ California, adopted
its Resolution of Inten~ion fo~ the improvements in Paradise Pines
Bnits No. 12, 13 & I4 Assessment District, Butte County, California,
and referred said improvements ta ths Director o~ Public h7orks
of the County of Butte, Engzneer of Work for said assessment district;
and
WHEFtEAS, said Board of Supervisors direeted that said
Engineer of ~~7ork make and file with the County Clerk of the County
of Butte, a report xn writing in accordance with the provisians
and requirements of the Municipal Improvement Act of 1913 of the
State of California; and
WHEREAS, said ~ngineer o~ Work did, on the 3rd day of
August, 1971, file with the County Clerk of the County of Butte,
a Xepozt in accardance with the said resolution, and said County
Clerk has presented the xeport to this Board for consideration;
NQW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVEp by the Board of Supervisors
of the Coun~y of Butte, State of Ca~ifornia, and this Board hereby
~inds:
1. That the repor~ made and filed by the ~ngineer of
Work on ~he 3rd day of August, ~971, contains all of the require-
men~s provided for said report by the provisions of the Municipa~
Tmprovement Act of 1913, inc~uding (1) spec3tications; (2) plans
and profiles and estimates of cost; (3) assessment diagram and assess-
ment; (4) descriptions of easements and/or rights-of-way to be acquired.

2. That said repart, and each and every part thereof,
is sufficient in every particular, and it is hereby determined that
said report shall stand as the report for all subsequent proceed-
ings under said Municipal Improvement Act of 1913; and
BE IT FURTAER RESOLVED that Tuesday, the ~4th day of
September, 1971, at the hour of 10:30 a'clock A.M. of said day,
at the meeting place of the aoard of Supervisors of the County of
But~e, located in the Butte County Gaurthouse, Oroville, California,
is hereby fixed as the time and place ~or hearing protests with
~ela~ion ta the proposed imprvveMents descrzbed in said report;
that any person interested in objecting to sai~ improvements, the
grades to which the work wi11 be done, or has been done, ~he extent
of the assessment district, the assessment, or the engineer's esti-
mate of cost and expenses, or any other act or determination of
the Board of Supervisors or the Engineer of work of the assessment
district may file protest in writing with the County C1erk o£ the
County of Bu~te at or before the hour fixed here~n for"hearing thereon;
and
B~ IT ~URTHER RESOLVED that the County C~erk of the County
of Butte be, and he is hereby, directed to gublish a Notice of Im-
provement pursuant to Section 60G6 of the Government Code of the
State of California, the first of which said notices to be first
published at least twenty (20) days prior to the date herein set
for hearing of protests; and
BE IT F~RTHER RESOLVED that the County Clerk of the
County of Butte be, and he is hereby, further direc~ed to cause
Notices of Improvement to be posted on all o£ the open streets within
the district described in the Resolution of In~ention at not more
than three hundred feet apart on each street so posted in accord~
ance with the requirements of Sections ~0302 and 10303 of the Muni-
cipal Improvement Act of 1913; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that notices of the adoption of
the Resolution pf Intention and filing of the Engineer's Report
shall be mailed, postage prepaid, to all persons owning seal prop-
erty to be assessed whose names and addresses appear upon the last
equalized assessment roll for taxes, or are known to the County
Clerk. Said no~ices shall contain the matters required in Section
10307 of the Municipal Improvement Act of ~9I3 of the State of California
BE TT FURTHER RESOZVED that this Boazd hereby prelimin-
arily orders that the improvements described in the Resolution
of Intention be had and done in accordance with the plans and speci-
fications and profiles for said wosk. The plans and specifica-
tions with said report are hereby adopted as the plans, profiles
and specifications for the doing of said work and imp~ovements,
and said ~oard hereby arders that bids shal~ be received for the
doing of said work and impravements on the 29th day~pf August, 1971,
at 11:00 o'clock A.t~. of said day. Said bids or proposals sha1Z
be delivered on or befoze 11:00 o'clock A.M. of the 24th day of
August, 1971, at the affice of the County Clerk of the County of
Butte, Butte County Courtnouse, Oroville, Califarnia, which said
time and place are hereby fixed as the time and place of a public
meeting at which saifl bids wi11 be pub~~cly opened, examined and
declared before the Board of Supervisors by the County Clerk of
the County of Dutte. Said bi~s after being publicly opened, exam-
ine~ and declared, wzll be calculated by the Engineer of Work, his
report returned to the County Clerk and the report of the resu~ts
o£ the biddzng and the calcula~ions of the ~ngzneer of Viork will
be reported to the Board of Supervisors of the County o~ Butte.
The Board of Supervisors reserves the riqht to reject
any and all proposals or bids should it deem this necessary

for the public good, and also the bid o£ any bidder who has heen
delinquent or unfaithful in any former contract with the County
of Butte.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was duly
and regularly adopted by the Board af Supervisors of the County of
Butte, state o£ California, at a regu~ar meeting thereof, held on
the 3rd day of August, 1971, by the fo~lowing vote, to wit:
