BOARb OF SUPERVISORS
WHEREAS, the BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THE COUNTY OF BUTTE, STATL~ OF
CALIFORNiA, did at a regular meeting of said Board, and after due and proper
notice as required by law, by resolution adopt a final budget for -~he COUNTY
OF BUTTE for the fiscal year 197]-72, which said Resolution is on file in
the Office of the Cl.er3c of Said County; and
WHEREAS, it is encumbent upon said Board, in accordance with Article
5, Division 3, Title 3(being Sections 29100 to 29109 inclusive, of the
Government Code) to by resolution fix the tax rate of said County for the
fiscal year 3.971-72;
NOW, THEREFORE~ BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THE
COUNTY OF BUTrE~ STATE OF CALIFORNIA~ AS FOLLOWS:
1. That said Board does hereby fi.x the rates of county and district
taxes on the secured ro11 of said County for the fiscal year 1971-1972 by
designating the number of cents levied for each fund on each One Hundred
Dollars ($100.00) of taxabie value in the County of Butte for the fiseal year
1971-1972 as is herei.nafter set forth. The designated rates as hereinafter
set fosth axe such as will pxoduce, after due allowance for delinquency as
fixed by iaw or as hereinafter fixed by this Board and in the same manner as
tax rates are fixed, the amount found by deducting from the total appropria-
tions and reserves:
(a) The amount of es~imated revenue from other sources.
(b) Available surplus.
2. Pxcept as to any other allowance for delinquency as fixed by law
or this Board, a sum equal to five per cent (5~) of the assessed valuation
of the local secured roll and the local unsecured roll is hereby determined
as the allowance for delinquency.
3. The designated rates of County and district taxes on the secured
roll, as 1-iereinbefore mentioned, are as follows, towit:

RESOLiTTION OF THE GOVERNING BOARD OF THE CHICO
'UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT O~' BUTTE COUNTY, CALTFORNTA
WHEREAS, this Board has be~n made aware of an exxox on
page 15 of the school district's 1971-72 budget, which clerical error involved
the placing on line 69 of said page 15 the figure of $262, 820. Said figure of
$262, 820 as shown on line b9 of page 15 should have been zero.
WHEREAS, said figure of $262, 820 should have been added
into line 81. I of page 15. '
WHEREAS, the inadvertent placing of the figure of $262, 820 on
line 69 of page I5 causes the budget to reflect an additional revenue of $262, 820
which simply does not exist. '
WHEREA,S, the net result is that the tax rate in order to £inance
the budget that has been approved by this board must be increased to $4. 67~k,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that this ~oard
respectfully requests th.at the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte
amend the resoluti.on establishing tax rates in said county to correct the
clerical error referxed to above. 'Z'hat the amended rate for Chico t7nified
School District should be in the' arr~oun.t of $4, 674, rather than the amount of
$4. 395, as presently' set £orth in sai.d resolution.
