~istrict of Butte County, Cali£ornia, has called and ordered a speczaZ
district electirn pursuant to Division 11, Part 5, Article 6 of the
Water Code of the State of California, at which will be submitted to
the quali~ied electors of ~he said Distric~ a measure to determine
whether or not the -istrict should provide for certain sewage disposal
in the District; and
WHEREAS9 a general district election will be held in Sutte
County and throughout the State of California on November 2, 1971,
pursaant to the provisions of the Uniform District Election Law; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of the Paradise Irrigation
District has requested this Soard to order the consolidation o~ said
special district election with the general district election ta be
held on Tuesday, November 2, 19710
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDERED AND RESOLVED by the Board o~
Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of California, as follows:
i. That the special district election ordered pursuant to
the provisions of D~vision 11, Part 5, Article 6 of the Water Code of
the State of California for the Paradise Irrigation Distriet, is to
be consolidated with the statewide general district election to be

2o The election precincts, polling places and voting booths
within the territory affec~ed by this order of consolidation sha11,
in every case, be the same and there shall be only one set of election
off~cers in each of the precincts for elections hereby consolidated
and that the meas~re submitted to the qualified electors o~ the
Paradise Irrigation District shall be set ~orth in each form of ballot

to be used at~said General District Election insofar as the same is
held within said territory affected by this consolidationo
3a That the special election hereby ordered consolidated
sha11 be conducted by the Clerk of the County of Butte, and that all
costs incurred by the County C1erk in the conduct of the said election
sha11 be pa~d by the Paradise Irrigation Dis~ricto
4. The County Clerk is further ordered to cause to be printed upon
each of the ballots to be used at the said consolidated special
election and general dis~rict election, within said territory affected
by said consolidation, including absen~ voter ballotsy end sample
ballots, said measure in the form set forth in that ce~tain reso~ution
passed and adopted by the Board of Directors of the Paradise Irrigation
District on August 18, 1971, The County Clerk is further ordered
to maiL to the qualified electors of the said District in said
territory said sample ballots and po~ling cards signed by the County
Clerk relating to said consolidated election in the time and in the
form required by law, and to provide such other notices as required
by law and to provide absent voter ballots for said consolidated
election for use by the qualified electors of the Pa,radise Trrigation
District who may be entitled thereto, in the manner provided by lawo
5, That the returns of the said special election shall be
canvassed by the County C1erk and certified to the Board of Directors
of ~he Paradise z~rigation District,

this 24th day of August, ~971, by the following vote:
