WH~R~A5, on the 20th day of July, 1971, the Soard of
Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of California, adopted its
Resolu~ion of Intention in Paradise Pines Units No. 10, 11 & 15
Assessment District, Butte Caunty, California, for the construction
of improvements and acquisitions in said assessmen~ district and refer-
7red said proposed improvements and acquisi~ions ~o th2 Director of
Pubiic Works of Butte County, Califnrnia, as Engineer nf Work for
sazd assessment district; and
WEiEREAS, on the 20th day of July, 1971, the said ~ngineer
of Work filed an Engineer's Report, Assessment and Assessment Dia-
gram in accordance with said Resolution, and said Engineer's Report
was presented to the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte for
consideration; and
WHERBAS, on the 20th day of July, 1971, the Board of Super-
visors of the County of Butte praliminarily adopted sa~d Engineer's
Repor~ and fixe3 Tuesday, the 24th day of August, 1971, at the hour
of 10:30 o'clock A.t~, of said day, at the meeting place of the I3oard
of Supervisors of the County of Butte, located in the F3uf.te County
Courthouse, Ozoville, Cali~oxnia, as ~he ~ime and place for hearing
protests with reJ.ation to said proposed improvements anfl acquisitions;
and
tnTH~REAS, pursu.ant to said Resolution hereinabove mentioned
a Notice of 3mprovement was duly published, posted and mailed, giving
notiae of the time and place of hearing on said Report; and

WHEREAS, on the 24~h ~ay of Aagust, 1971, said hearing
was held and aonsideration of said matter was continued to the 31st
day of August, 1971; and
WHEREAS, on the 31st day of August, 1971, ~he Board of
Supervisors of the County of Butte directed the Engineex of Work to
file an Amended ~ngineer's Report; and
~HEI2EAS, on ~he 31st day of Augus~, 1971, the Engineer of
Wozk filed with the County Clerk of ~he County af Butte an Am~nded
Engineer's Report;
I~OW, THEREI~'ORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors of
the County of Butte, State of Cala.fornia, that this Board does hereby
~ind, determine and arder as fol~ows:
i. That the district bene~zted by said improvements and
acquisitions,and ~n be assessed to pay the costs and expenses thereof,
Xs mare particularly described in the Resolution of Tntention here-
a,nabove re£erred ~o and made a paxt hereof by referenae thereto. Thati
all public streets and highways within said assessment district, the
same being in use in the performance of a pu3~lie function as such,
shall be omitted from said clistrict and from the levy and collection
of the special assessments to be herea~~er levied and collected to
bover the costs and expenses of said improvements and acquisitions.
2. That the plans and specifications for ~he proposed
improvements and acquisitions'be, and they are hereby, finally adopted
and approved as the plans and specS.fiqafiions to which said work shall
b~ done as call.ed i~or in said Resolution of Intention.
3. That the A~nended Estimate of Cost of the itemized and
to~al estimated cast and expenses of the improv~ments and acquisitions,
and of the incidenta~. expenses in connection therewith, which said
I~mended ~stimate of Cost is on file with the County Clerk af the
County of Butte be, and it is hezeby, finaily adopted and appraved

as the Engineer's total and detailed estimate of the costs and expen-
ses of said improvements and acquisitions.
4. That the public convenienee and interest require, and
said Board hereby orders the improvernents and acquisitions to be made
as described in, and in accordance with, said Resolution of Inten-
tion, and the Amended ~ngineer`s Report on file with the County Clerk
of the Co~n~y of Butte, xe~erence to both of which is hereby made
for a more particular description o£ said improvements and acquisitions
and also reference zs hereby made to the provisions of the Municipal
Improvement Act of 1913, as amended.
5. That the amount to be assessed aqa~nst each of the parcels
or subdivisions of land shown on the Amended Engineer's Report does
nnt exceed 75~ of the market value of each a~ the properties assessed
after the constiruction of improvements; that the appzazsal of the
market value of the properties to be assessed on file in tihese pro-
ceedings is hereby adopted as the market values of each of said parcels.
6. The Board oE 8upervisors of the County of Butte does
he~eby levy and apportion upon each and every lot, piece and parce~
p~ land within the boundaries ot the assessment district ~he amount
hy which each of said lots, piecss or parcels of land is benefited
by the improvements and acquisitions. The aMOUnt af the assessment
which is levied and apportioned u~on eaCh and evezy 1ot, piece and
parcel of land within the boundar~es of the assessment district is
as shown on the assessment attached to and made a part of the Amended
Engineez's Report adopted by this Resolution. The Board of Supervisors
of the County of Butte h~reby tinds and detezmines that each of said
1ots, pieces or parcels of land within the boundaries of said dis-
tric~ zs benefited in the am~unt and in the proportion of the tatal
Cost o£ the improvements and acquisitions, plus incidental expenses,
whiah each of said lots~ pieces or parcels of land has been assessed
in said Amended Engin~er's Report.

7. Collections of assessments shall be rnade by the County
Treasurer of the Coun~y of Butte.
S. In the ev~nt any surplus remains in the Improvemen~ Fund
after the completion of the improvements and the payment of all.ciaims
from the ~mprovement Fund, said surplus sha~l be distributed in accor-
dance with Section 10427 of the Streets and Highways Code.

I fiEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was du~y
and regularly adopted by the Board of Supervisors of the Connty of
Butte, State of Caiifornia, at a regular meeting thereof, held on
the 31st ~ay of August, 1971, by the ~ollowing vote, to wit:
