RESOLUTTQN AND ORDER PRELIA7INARILY ADOPTING ENGINEER'S
1tEPORT, SETTING PUBLIC HEARING AND CALLING FOR BIDS,
PARADISE PTNES COUNTRX CLUB ~STATES UN~TS N0. 1, 2 AND
3 ASS~SSMENT DISTRICT, BUTTE COUNTY, CAi,2FORNIA
WH~REAS,.on the 9th day pf November, 1971., the Board
of Supervisors of the Coun~y of Butte, State of California, adopted
its Resolution of Intention for the improvements and acquisitions
in Paradise Pines Country Club Estates Units No. 1, 2 anc~ 3~
Assessment District~ Buti~e County, Cali~ornia, and referred said
a.mprovements and acquisitions tio ~he Director of Public Works of
the County o£ Butte as Engineer o~ SPork for said assessment district;
and
WHEREAS, said Board of Supervisors directed that said Engi-
aeer of Work make and fi2e with the Countiy Clerk o£ the County of
Butte, a report in wri.ting in accordance with the prova.sions and
requixements of the Municipal Imgrovement Act of 1913 0~ the State
of Calxfarnia; and ~
WHER~AS, said Engineer of Work d.id, on the 9th day af
November, 1971, file with the County Clerk of the Coun~y of $utte,
a report in aocordance with the said resolu~ion, and said County
Clerk has pzesent~d the report to this Board for consic3erati,on;
NOW, TH~I2EFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors
of the County of Butf.e, 5tate of Califoinia, and this Board hereby
finds:
~., That the report made and filed by the Engineer of
Work on the 9th day o~ Navember, 137i, contains a11 of the require-
ments provided for said repar~.by the prova.sions of the Municipal
Improvement Act of 1913, including (J-? specifications; (2) plans
and profzles and estimates o~ cost; (3) assessm~nt diagram and
assessment; (4) descrzptions of easements and/or riqhts-of-way
to be acquir~d.

2. That said report, and each and every part.thereof,
~s sufficient in every particular, and it is hereby determined
that sazd report shall stand as the report for all subsequent pro-
ceedings under said Municipal Improvement Act of 1913; and
BE IT FURTHER ~SOLVED that Tuesday, the 14th day of
December, 1971, at the hour of 10:30 o'cl~ck A.M, o£ said day,
a~ the meeting place af ~he Board of Supervisors of the County of
Butte, located in the Butte County Courtnouse, Oroville, California,
is herebX fixed as the time and place foz hearing prorests with
rela~ion to tihe prapased improvemen~s and acquisitions described
in said report; that any person interested in objecting to said
improvements and acquisitions, the grades to which the work will
be done, or has b~en done, the extent of the assessment district,
the assess~ent, or the engineer's estimate of cost and expenses,
or any other act or determination of the Board of Supervisors or
the Engineer of Work of the assessment district may file protest
in writing with the County C~erk of the Caunty of Butte at or before
the hour fixed herein for hearing thereon; and
BE I~ FL3RTHER R~SOLVED that the County Clerk of the County
oP Butte be, and he is h~reby, directed to pub~ish a~otice af
Zmpxovement puzsuant to Sectzpn 6066 of the Govexnment Code of
the State of California, tihe firs~ of which said notices to be
first published at least twenty (20) days prior to ~he datie herein
set toz heazing of protests; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED theti the County Clerk of the
County of Butte be, and he is hereby, further directed to cause
Notzces of Improvement to be posted on a11 of the open stzeets
wzthin the district described in the Resolution of Intention at
not more than three hundred feet apar~ on each street so posted
in accordance with the requirements of Sections 10302 and 10303
of ~he Munxazpal Tmprovement Act of 1913; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that nntices of the adoption of
the Resolution of Zntention and filing of the Engineer's Report
shal~ be mailed, postage prepaid, to all gers~ns owning real prop-
~ erky to be assessed whose names and addresses appear upon the last
equa~zzed assessment ~oll for taxes, or are known to the County
Clerk, Said notices shall contain the matters required in Section
10307 of the Municipal Improvement Act of 1913 of the State of
Calzfornia.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVEb that this Board hereby prelimin-
arily orders that the imp~ovements and acquisit~ons described in
the Resolution of Intention be had and done in accordance with
the plans and specifications and profiles for said work, mhe plans
and specifzcations wi~h said report are hereby ado~ted as the plans,
profiles and specifications £or the doing of said work and improve-
ments, and said Board hereby orders ~hat bi@s sha21 be received
for the doing of said work and improvements on the 30th day of
November, 1971, at 11:00 o'clack A.M, o~ said day, Sazd bids or
prngosals shall be delivered an or before 11:00 o'clock A.M, of
the 30th day of November, Z971, at the office of the County Clerk
of the County of Butte,.Butte Coun~y Courthouse, Oroville,
California, which said time anfl place ar~ hereby fixed as the time
' and place of a publzc meeting at which said bids will be publicly
opened, examined and declared before the Hoard of Supervisors by
the County Clerk of the County of Butte. Said bids af~er being
publicly opened, examined and declared, wi~l be calculated by the
Engineer of Work, his report returned to the County Clerk and the
, report nf the results of the bidding and the calculations of the
Engineer of Wozk will be reported to the Board of Supervisors
of the County o€ Butte.

The Board of Supervisors reserves the right to rejeet
any and all proposals or bids should it deem this necessary for
the publ~~ good, and a2so the hid o~ any bidder who has been de-
linquent ox unfaitihful in any former contract with the County of
Butte.

I HEREBY CERTI~'Y that the foregoing res~lutian was duly
and regularly adopted by the Board of Supervisors of the County of
Butte, State.of .Cali.fornia, at a regular meetina ~hereaf, he~d on
