statewide pre-positioning of Riot Control Equipment to be funded
in part trom funds made availabl.e through the Omnibus Crime Control
and Safe Streets Act of 1968 administered by the California Council
on Criminal Justice,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Sheriff-
Coroner of the County of But~te is authorized to submit the attached
Application for Grant for Law Enforcement Purposes to the Ca1if-
ornia Counc~l on Criminal Justice for its consideration, and
BE IT FURTHII2 RESOLVED that in the event that the
California Council on Criminal Justice consents to fund the pro-
ject, the Sheriff~ Coroner is aathorized to execute on behalf of
the County of Butte the contract for the grant for law enforcement
purposes.
BE IT FUFtTHER RESOLVED that the applican.t agrees to
provide the requa.red matching funds to said project,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLV~D that grant funds received
hereunder shall nat be used to supplant ongoing law enforcement
expenditures.
