RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING RFI~UEST FOR ALLOCATIbN
OF FUN-S TO PUBLIC UTII,ITIES COMMISSTON OF THE

BE IT RESOLUED by the BOARD OF SIIPIItVISORS of the COUNTY OF BUTTE,
State of California, as follows, to wit:
1, That said Board hereby approves and authorizes the reques~
for allocation of ~unds ~z~om -~he Public Utilities Commission in connection
with the followi.ng railroad crossings:
a. Southern Pacific RR on Pearson Road (Crossing No. CH-198.1)
b. Southern Pacific R.R on Durham Highway (Crossing No, C-178.2)
c. Southern Pacific R.R. on East Avenue (Crosszng No. C-1g6.6)
2. That the Chairman of this Board is hereby au-~horized to
execute said request, and the Clerk of this Board is authorized to attach a
certified copy of this resolutioxa to said request.

- The County of Butte, State of Galifornia, hereby requests the Public Utilities Commis-
'sion to make an a3location to applicant from the Crossing Protection Fund in the maximum
amount of ~16,341.6l~, such allocation, however, not to exceed one-half of the actual
costs of applicant's share of the costs of constructing protection at the £ollowing
cr o ssing s:
A. Southern Pacific RR on Pearson Road (Crossing No. CH-198,1)
B. Southern Pacific RR on Durham Highway (Crossing No. C-'I'78.2)
C. Southern Pacific RR on East Avenue (~rossing No. C-186.b)
1. Attached as Exhibit "A" is a true copy of a resolutian adopted by the Board af
Supervisors of the County o~ Bu~te, authorizing submission of -~his request.
2. Present protection at crossings:
A, Pearson Road - wooden crossbucks each side of tracks.
B. Durham Highway - two flashing light;
C, East Avenue - wooden crossbacks eacP~ side of tracks.

B. Durham Highway - two No. 8 Flashing lights supp~emented with sutomatic gates,

construction in the amount of ~16,341.6/~ over and above the amount of the
sequested allocation and this amount has been budgeted in the current fiscal
year.

for cros~ing protection. Amount bud'geted ~or present fiscal yesr -~~20,000.
~ Funds for pavement markings and advance warning signe are included in the
County~s maintenance budget. These max•kings and signs will be placed prior to
